Ok, so you have to buy the Orange Box to get TF2, Portal, and Episode 2 for a lower price than buying them separately. And their "gifting" Half-Life 2 and Episode 1 if you already have them is little better than an evil network marketing scheme. Even if you don't get the Orange Box, at least get Team Fortress 2. It is a chaotic, insane, messy, violent team FPS. And it's also some of the most fun I've had in an FPS in years.

The voice acting cracks me up, each class has a distinct personality. This game makes me laugh even as I'm charging up a Heavy to go bulldoze through the enemy's front line. It is great fun, and I think this game is pure OCD. Haven't played on a FF-on server yet, and thank god. The accidental teamkilling would be phenomenal. The game officially releases on October 10th, on the 9th if you order it through Steam. Let me know if any of you decide to get it. I for one am loving playing the Medic (as evidenced by my TF2 stats). Hope to see yall on the Battlefield soon!

A little disheartening realization today, but for those of us that have Half-Life 2 and Episode 1 already, it will actually cost us MORE to buy Episode 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2 individually rather than just buying the Orange Box (which has all that and HL2 and Ep1 already). Kinda sad, but in the end not totally unexpected from the marketing standpoint.
