reason why 4 i say starmade is because it actually has AI in it, not the greatest but its there, and its a highly raved about game, tbh i wanna goto medieval engineer cause thats my age :P i love medieval times so much ingunuity required in stuff built in those times (unlike SE where you have all this high tech crap to build stuff) medieval times you REALLY had to use your brain to do some amazing ♥♥♥♥

No interest. It looks like an interesting game, but I'm not ready to give up on Space Engineers and I don't have enough time to play all the games that I'm interested in... so definitely not enough time to start a new one. No worries if you decide to conver though. =)

quick question to everyone: how does everyone feel about starmade? i think i might convert this server into a starmade server if everyone is interested in it lemme know!

They don't usually share their plans, only their accomplishments. The fact that they release weekly progress updates I think keeps most people satisfied.

They have alleged that they will be producing systems to support "campaigns", including AI functionality.

The update today covered a GPS system and a text block (like a bulletin board-- but it's just a square. You have to click on the block to get to the notes. Nothing visible without interaction.) They also added some improvements to mod inclusion within a save game.

What they are planning at the Keen software? :D

Well from my experimenting i've found out that ores generate while your mining, like you could be digging stone and magically a random ore will spawn while drilling that your ore detector didn't detect until you started mining, so its most likely that generating ability the roids have probably regenerate stone when its not suppost to (or whatever ore decides to spawn while your drilling.) Keen said they are workin on a fix, no idea how long but at least its not game breaking

Edit to my previous post; Hand drill didnt seem to help, as when I used a mining ship, large chucks of glitch asteroid still appeared around me. Luckily, none clipped my ship. Though, I'm beginning to think it's moreso the smaller roids that are near the large ones, which are glitch prone. Perhaps related to how the ores inside them don't always register on a detector?

Just a warning/heads up to anyone using mining ships: I've noticed that once in awhile parts of an asteroid will glitch/appear right in the middle of your ship when using a miner. I've now lost one small, and one large ship miner due to this bug. From what I've read on the forums, getting out, and mining it with a hand drill apparently stops this from happening, I guess since it tells the server the asteroid needs to be real or w/e, so that locks in the model. Not 100% sure if it works, but will be doing that from now on for sure.

Again, just an FYI, and that if it happens to you, no you're not crazy, that roid wasn't there 5 secs ago.

Hello, I tried to connect, I played maybe 5 minutes and then the server crashed. It was very smooth and nice like before :) I found a dougnut shape asteroid like before :D

actually my good sir, i have had to travel over 70K to find alot of the stuff i have found :P

I have found diddly squat.

I think Alak started by some spawn point and I started in the butt end of nowhere.... :(

exploration patch is awesome! so far i found 2 stations and 10 ships!!! (i have SS's of the biggest ship and station(s) i have found! check em out on my profile!

Also both factions are set to auto accept join requests the faction im in is SER and the faction mrray is in is SEE just so you guys know :P

Also quick edit on my post below, reason i have came to decide this vote is because quite a few people have msged me telling me that they are experiencing very low SIM speeds and low FPS (or moderate FPS to some people) currently i am not experiencing this but its different to everyones own rig.

Im runnin 90 SIM 60 FPS and a ping of 60 to 90 avg which is fairly normal for me
with people in the server im runnin same ping same FPS but a SIM drop to around 60 to 75

HOPEFULLY this is just poor optimization on KSWH part and will be fixed for other people please when you comment with your vote to add your FPS SIM and PING so i cam make a detailed broad spectrum report to KSWH to hopefully fix any issues (if there is any)

but if optimization patches are released and nothing is changed, it proabably has something to do with everyones current masterpieces and would probably have to be removed :(

I tried to play yesterday and it was so laggy for me. Its not the net lag, its my graphic card. Saddly I dont have enough money to buy the new one. It means I cant play to much coz its way to bad... I will be not on the server to much time like before, but as soon as i can buy the new one, " I'll be back!" :)

Hey everone, I joined because my friend Mazian came here. Spawned at WTD.RAYS xmas base. had to cut myself out beacuse a door didn't work but I replaced the light armor and welded the places I had to grind through to get free.

I appreciate the explanations and I'm cool with the rules.

Also, thanks for helping me find my stuff-- I wasn't too observant-- it was late and I was knackered and this is the first time I've seen a coordinates mod (or a map this big.)

Unfortunatly the smaller respawn ship had to be taken as an anti-griefer measure, it is supposed tho have enough stuff to get a base started, though I think things like grave gens are an issue.

Logged on this evening, used the Respawn ship, tried to set up a staging post near an asteroid-- discovered I didn't have enough resources to get a base operational, suicided (backspace) and then couldn't find my stuff again.

I'll try again another evening, hopefully when someone is in game and able to accept an application to the faction. Also, what's the policy on asteroids (unmined resources), free-for-all or ???

Yeah the ownership issue was a bug. Haven't checked my stuff today but apart from a small grinder about 2 weeks ago I'm not missing anything.

Okay so everything lost ownership. Also few of us noticed that some of the stuff is missing(ships, resources) and most likely was just taken by somebody.
BTW, somebody tell me who the hell had built a stealth jet near my base? :D

I believe server isn't updated. Or latest fix broke all multiplayer. Can't see any servers without turning off 'same game data', and can't find our server at all.

also that skybox i won't most likely get, i hate the vanilla skybox mainly because you can't find where a real asteroid is lol.

lol the skybox has been changed i didn't know it was that damn dark, so i got a more lighted one that should help with fps

Alak, what the hell is with skybox? It looks atmospheric and everything, but shadows are glitchy and it's too dark in some places.

oh crap, sorry all i didn't have auto save enabled on the server!!!!!!!!! everyones progress since the server start has been reset :(((((

@General Mega Just type alek's or just ale in search bar, after about 10 sec it will find a world with the name New World Order. It's much quicker that searching manually)

That's fine. While i was 'waiting' i went into creative mode to design big hangar gates for my station. Spent 9 hours doing that, didn't sleep all night. And I have work today...This game should not be legal, it's like a drug :D
