The server is up and running with a bunch of people joining up. Some of the mods may not work yet, but that it getting resolved soon. Frag on!

The new version CS:S has come out of beta as most of you know. We are in the processes of updating the server but Steam/Valve seems to be overloaded so downloading the server updates is taking quite a bit of time. Some of the addons may also be incompatible with this update, but rest assured that we are working very hard to get the server up and running the way it has.

So what do you think is the best way to rank players on the ktop list of knifers? The current system ranks players based purely on the number of knife kills, and has been known to encourage camping and late-night knife-a-thons to pad stads. I was considering changing it to one of these:


1. kills minus deaths (k-d)
2. kills divided by deaths (k/d aka kdr)
3. leave it as is, with kills being the only stat that matters

A whole slew of steam accounts have been hijacked by a spammed link to a free games offer. The link points to a phishing website where you're asked to enter your Steam account information to redeem the games from nVidia. While nVidia does actually have such an offer, the webpage for this is definitely not hosted at a .tk domain ;)

Fallen victims so far include Breezily and Mossy Oak.
