Could everyone log onto the roll20 game and make your own macros to hit? If you don't know how to do that, go to the side tab -> settings -> look under the macros heading, and you'll see an add button. Add your macro to hit, with your modifier, and you can edit it as you level up. Macros are shortcuts for chat, and the commands you'll put into them are eactly the same as the ones you'd put into the chat bar. Just use # and the name of the macro you want to use, and it'll do the work.

We may want to switch which version of D&D we use as there isn't a whole lot of material on 1st. Example: this site has 13 books (7.86 MB) of info on 1st but the secon edition has 111 books on it ( A whoppping 142.42 MB), 3.5th has 51 books @ 443.25 MB and 4th has 149 @ 178.25 MB. We can stick with 1st I just think it would be easier to play with something that has more resources as we are all new to this. just something to consider.
