I have worked it out, turns out it was Avast that was blocking it (going in to gaming mode or disabling Avast doesn't work). All I needed to do was uninstall it and restart my PC.

So I want to invite my friend, she lives in Finland, I live in the UK. When I go into the lobby, press options and invite her she always gets timed out and it's the same with me when she invites me. We have turned out anti-viruses off and firewalls so I don't see why we still get this problem. If someone could please help up I would appreciate it, we really want to play this game.
