Friends,

Meta was founded back in January, and I think we’ve had one hell of an 8 month run. We started with some random recruits from duel yards and pub matches, went through some huge changes in lineups, and worked our way through several tournaments. I truly think we made some incredible progress and matured as a team and as players. I still don’t think we fully hit our potential, but grabbing 3rd place in a cash-prize tournament, defeating many talented teams and almost edging out a game against the kings is nothing to sneeze at.
We had a great run, and I’m here along with my partner to announce that we’re retiring from Chivalry for the time being and thus stepping down as leader and co-leader of Meta. Many of our players have responsibilities and schedule changes to adhere to, which has subsequently impacted our lineup and player base. Hopefully these new recruits and new lineups will grow into a formidable team, and I wish them the very best.
We have passed leadership down to Kylerr, who has been part of Meta for many months and remains a dedicated player and scrim organizer. Kylerr has decided to re-establish a new team under a new name in respect to Meta. Those of you who are interested in still playing together should reach out to him.
I will still keep the NFO server running with the tournament funds that I have received from Waters, and will change the name to whatever team decides to take Meta’s place. These funds guarantee a server for 9 months. Also, the Teamspeak is still available to all of you, and I encourage those of you who join the new team to use it, and for those of you do not to stop by once in a while and hang out.
Y’all have been a pleasure to work with, we done good Memers.

P.S. And who knows, we may all wind up on a team down the road at some point in Slasher or Chiv 2, or even Chiv if circumstances change. Hope to see you all in those future games!

Meta started out as a small team of noobs including only me, Ziios, Joe, and Messybear and we were the equivalent of the House of Lords. Nobody ever planned on us being the powerhouse that we transformed into during our peak. We picked up a bunch of fucking randoms like Popcorn in duelyards and pub servers and made a top tier team. It took many months of stress and tons of practice to even become decent, and I love everybody who went through the journey with me, from Lemon to Valkyraz. We left our mark as one of the most well known and competent teams in the game, to be feared even by the almightly Tempest Conglomerate. We were known for our countless gambles, spin exploits, and salt that defined our team and brought us together.
The teamspeak and server will be open for everybody in Meta in which we intend to keep the broship together. Like Zioss said, Kylerr will be taking on the new Meme Teme as leader and Meta will be retired in honor.Today we ride out in to the sunset, hand in hand, forever legendary memers. Meta 4 fukin lyfe

Exams are here, boys. I know for myself that I won't be on chiv that often this week and I know a few others are as well. Don't expect a huge amount of scrims because a lot of us nerds in school will be focused studying and taking tests for a while. But after this stretch, it'll be summer and we can finally play all day and grow our neckbeards.
