Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection

The 6 mainline games including both versions of 3-6 (No Battlechip Challenge or Network Transmission)
It's got the typical collection art gallery/music player and a high res filter option
Releases 2023 on Switch, PS4, and Steam
The physicals have all the games but the digitals are split up into two volumes: first 3 games in volume 1 and the latter 3 games in volume 2

Good timing on them, the urge to jack in was getting a little too much for me and it was only a matter of time before I resorted to the emulators again. Still have to wait till next year though

Mega Man 11 may become the best-selling Mega Man title

According to Capcom themselves, Mega Man 11 has currently sold 1.3 million units to date; up 100k from the last quarterly report from them. Mega Man 11 just became the fifth most sold game in the series just barely passing the Mega Man Legacy Collection, which has sold 1.2 million. The best-selling Mega Man game currently is Mega Man 2, with 2 million units sold.

Regardless if it does outsell 2 or not, with sales numbers like this, we should expect more from the series soon. Mega Man was never a major seller as it was in the 80s/90s so a new game (and two collections) selling over 1 million is huge.

Here's some news that we didn't cover over late 2019/2020:

Mega Man Battle Network/Star Force Collection rumored, and is likely.
Rockman X Dive is a thing now, only available in Japan as of now sadly.
Mega Man Zero/ZX collection released, and is added to our associated games.
I got all the achievements in the X collection 1 - not to flex
Mega Man-athon 8 was canclled this year due to Covid-19.
Mega Man EXE, Zero, X, and Star Force Mii costumes now in Smash Ult.
Some cool Mega Man merch was made, such as the Grandista Statue and the X and upcoming Zero Kotobukiya model kits.
20XX is getting a sequel - 30XX.
"Ryuenjin" by Col Friday was made, and is royalty free if you are looking for Mega Man X-like music for your projects.

Hello - kind of a big update

Sorry that I've been neglecting this group again, I've been kind of busy with my personal projects, and just recently had a bit of a health scare that is currently being dealt with (so I'll be fine).

Why this community was founded was due to two things: one, I owned the 2nd largest Mega Man-related community on PS4 that I deleted as not only I am not active on PS anymore, but no one used it unless they wanted to advertise something (I especially hated it when they advertised their own Mega Man groups, ugh); and two, the biggest Mega Man group, "Megaman Capcom," was kind of abandoned by one of the owners, and the other left in frustration - Erwin. When they did have updates, it was usually for their personal projects and not anything Mega Man-related, which was the final straw for Erwin. My friend and I made this group in response, and we've invited Erwin to be the third owner to combat the other group, and to make the best place for Mega Man fans on Steam.

I've checked to see how that group and this group was doing again recently, and, to my surprise, Megaman Capcom had activity within the last few months. The owner had apologized for his lack of activity, and had made a TF2 map based on Mega Man 7, which I encourage you to check out. I've decided to join that group again to test how active it is; I left a post asking people of their favorite Mega Man titles - that's usually enough to spark a conversation. If that post does get enough activity, perhaps we should consider merging with them, and making the best of what there is. However, that won't be just up to me, but all of you as well.

If we choose not to, I do promise to get this group up again, and have it grow. While this community was primarily founded to rival the others, it was only to make it the best place to be a Mega Man fan on this platform. If it can't be, then why don't we make the best of what's there?

Sales numbers are in for Mega Man 11!

Capcom has revealed sales numbers of the last few Mega Man titles a while ago, but I am posting it here just in case you guys have missed it and to start back on a positive note.

Here are the sales:

Mega Man 11 sold over 800,000 units.
Mega Man X LC 1 and 2 sold 900,000 units.
Mega Man LC 1 and 2 sold 1,100,000 units.

For Mega Man, these are fantastic sales figures. The last Mega Man game to exceed 1 million units was Battle Network 4. Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 + 2 is the fifth best-selling Mega Man game ever released. 80 percent of people who downloaded the demo of Mega Man 11, bought the game. I have no additional fact for Mega Man X Legacy Collection, unfortunately.

So with all this in mind, we should expect to hear more from this franchise soon.

Megaman 11 Releases October 2 (Unless you're in Japan)

Finally! In just over a week Megaman 11 will be out; on Steam, Switch, PS4, and Xbox Uno. The experience is 2.5D with voice acting and introduces new robot masters such as Acid Man and Impact Man. It's a shame they couldn't release this in time for Megaman's 30th anniversary, but it's water under the bridge as long as it annihilates Mighty No. 9

On a side note Megaman returns for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, with Zero as an assist trophy. Meanwhile Protoman and Bass join in on Megaman's final smash. There's still a bit of time before December 7, hopefully Megaman could obtain a echo fighter or another stage.

Mega man Athon 6

HalfEmptyETank is hosting the Mega Man athon 6 on their Twitch channel. 72 hours of Non stop Mega Man games, and all proceeds will go to charity. Stream ends Sunday.

Mega Man X collection and MMLC switch ports

Along side Mega Man 11, Capcom announced a Mega Man X collection for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. It will have X1 - X8 and will be released in 2018.

Also, Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2 will be given Switch ports. Amiibo support and a rewind feature will be added (the rewind feature will be added to all other versions too).
