Hello guys. Is there a definitive and crystal CLEAR idiots guide to getting your map in-game?. Ive created several cracking maps but have little understanding of file structures, file types etc I just want to know very simply how to get it working but everything ive read so far seems convoluted or is contradicted by other posts eleswhere, eg.g where the maps are saved (pvp, maps, assets, game assets etc). Can somebody please help an old duffer, I really want to release maps into the community!!!

how do u get to make a map

Hey, so It's been a while since I logged into steam in admin mode to play my maps... and now I forgot how to do it... So, How do I do it?

there anywhere to upload maps for friends to download and play?

Well, as much as I like the game, many RTS games allow for easy map sharing between players and don't have this kind of cumbersome hassle associated with it. I mean even Warcraft III, circa 1994 I think,, had a map editor and could share maps with other players easily. You would think the developers of these newer RTS's would now that that is part of the resson those games were so successful.

this is how the game is and the name of the thing is -dev modname and something that you must enter in set launch option for you to play your map

What is this -mod junk. Why can't I just put the map in a folder and have it available in all multiplayer games. You know, like Starcraft.

Ok now i have made 3 maps so far but ovecourse if i want to upload them for you to download them they need to be packaged any of you guys with a vista can you help me by telling me how to package or (sga) file them and i want my map tell me what to do with it plz and not that dam demo thx anyone who does this i will be very grateful (and i have already checked waroldbuilder forums on dow 2 tried it didn't help

Is their any way that you map modders know how to do full version campaings like the Space marine campaign in DOW 2 Minus the selectable missions?

Same here, psyched out the map editor function. Does it involve a script option to craft 1 player maps ala StarCraft? I think that you could make way better single player mission than the campaign with that. . . or at least to the mix and make it less monotonous. My two cents.
