That is barely a bug. I don't see how throwing grenades would have accomplished that.

Grenades do crash things. BNS studios proved that , and a new grenade script is being worked out now. Most grenades in most mods keep bugging , like in TheRedWars , BearForceII 0.36 or in Iron Europe. I have proven that in iron europe , threw a grenade in the moment the round ended , but in the second before everyone gets teleported to spawn. It will explode at the beginning of the next round , which is an OP tactic to harass the enemy spawn... the enemy cant dodge as they cant move for the first 3 seconds at the beginning of the round , but they can already die.
I was the only person who knew about this (beside the devs is told about this ultimate abuse) , but now that IE is mostly dead i feel no regrets in telling it to you. Bug testers like me are useless if there is no mod to test for bugs.

Also, the warband module being discussed was set in WWI and was kind of designed for camping. That is why they have trenches, MGs and mortars.

It may be OP against conventional tactics, but are you going to be the kind of tactician who complains about tactics being unfair like the Europpeans did? Or are you going to adapt and develop counter-tactics like Genghis Khan? In real military situations you can't complain about something being OP. Also, as I said, I am not advocating exploiting game mechanics; just things that you could do in real life.

There's a reason camping is used as an insult. Now I don't know about mount and blade, but camping is an insult because its op in other faster paced shooters.

There were two doors, and grenades don't crash things. That was actually one of the worst camping spots since rushing in does work if you can pull the trigger fast enough and I don't know you are coming.

Slight difference between your camping in IE , and defending a room: you were standing next to the door of the only entrance to the building , with a light mashinegun. And you cant shoot through walls , so even though we knew you were there we couldnt do much beside throwing grenades or rushing in. And rushing in means death , throwing grenades means crashing the server. Feel free to defend a flag or stay in a room behind cover, but not behind a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ corner where the enemy has no chance to shoot you at all!

Take the Mongols for example, they were the best (without question) and they used tactics. That is why Europe hated them but still always got rekt.
