Change of Management and Transition to Cloud Servers

There are two big changes going on in Lipnet that would lead to higher standards of gameplay quality on our servers - a change of management and our transition to be fully hosted on cloud servers by end 2015.

Over the past 6 months, during periods of my absence from Lipnet, FaultyFive has exemplified the rare traits of a leader - he's made justified decisions in tough situations, furthered the reach of Lipnet and showed his technical know-how when hosting temporary servers during down time. As I have increasing commitments IRL, FaultyFive will be taking over the day to day management of Lipnet's servers during this cloud-transition period and beyond.

Sasquatch and I will remain as owners of Lipnet and provide FaultyFive and our other admins guidance when needed.

Hey all LipNetters!

We have good news for y'all, as you can see from the headlines. Our servers are back and running.

Some of you who keeps a close eye on our server has noticed and have been playing on them already, which is awesome

The servers that are back online are:

ScaredyCats 1 to 4
Orange FullCrit Servers 1-2
Degroot Keep

The other servers will still be down for maintance.
Do enjoy your time on them! Report any bugs directly to me or Mangoose. $upern0va is currently on a oversea trip so he won't be able to respond immediatly.

[NEWS] Temporary Server is Up and Running!

Hey all,

As you have noticed, most of our are servers are down due to maintence ( heavy maintence ) and we're pretty busy with life thus, the maintence do take awhile which I sincerly apologise for that.

However,
I have launched a temporary Orange FullCrit server so you guys can play while waiting for our official servers to come back on!

Cessation of under-utilized services

There hasn't been much news lately and it's good that there isn't :)

As a gaming community, Lipnet has met and exceeded its initial mission as a place where regional players can meet and enjoy a casual game. This was especially important during last year's server crunch, where there were little player slots in the region and game type diversity was low.

Since then, and for almost half a year, Valve has hosted their house servers in Singapore. As a result of the abundance of player slots and increased map diversity, we're beginning to see less utilization of our services. This gives us less of a reason to continue hosting them.

While we will continue hosting the core of our servers and keep our international servers running, we are going to stop some of our less popular servers. There will not be a definitive list of discontinued services - you'll just see lesser Lipnet servers on your server list. Nevertheless, nothing is definite - feel free to contact me at Lipnettf2@gmail.com should you feel that any of your old favourites did not deserve the axe.

Relaunch of Our CSGO and L4D2 Servers

Many of our users have expressed interest in L4D2 and CS Go; today we're launching one server for each game - check them out on your server browser!
