there going to sell the game anyways.
Over 3 million people have purchased and played L4D...we can stand to lose a few idiots.
Also, in comparing L4D to TF2, you have to look at the development timelines. Both originated as mods, but the original TF mod was based on iD's Quake engine. That game was built from scratch in Valve development studios over the course of several years (9 to be exact), and the scope of the project was much larger than the straight-and-narrow zombie killing that originated in L4D pre-Valve pickup. You can't compare the two games. TF2 is a much more mature game than L4D is, and it often takes more than one complete implementation of a game for a game studio to get it right.
Just look at Blizzard.
Whether I purchase the game on release date or several months later, I'll be buying L4D2. I like the idea of playing in the day time. As an avid zompocalypse follower, it adds another level of possible realism to a game franchise that I can totally get behind. The twangy horde music does nothing less than get me hard. Incendiary bullets are brilliant, and I can't wait to light Love Muffin up with them in an attempt to further our unique friendship.
Go ahead and feel robbed, you expected too much.
