i'm from EU
this game is losing players too fast
I'm not sure if they are members but they probably should be removed from the group. Is the admin / owner of the group even around anymore?
If the spam doesn't stop then the community will go elsewhere. Stop wrecking a good group already.
- Add me (only if youre pretty good and you know what youre doing)
If you are someone who truly values skillful legitimate play and embrace the challenge that that entails, then I would recommend that you not bother adding Sophia or joining the "Bastard of Old Earth" group that she is a part of. They like to pretend that they are 'elite' players and want others to think that they are, but the truth is when the going gets tough they will routinely and happily glitch/exploit/cheat their way through campaigns, from something like sitting in an invincible spot where the zombies have no nav to (also known as a "Jesus spot"), to simply using Sourcemod to spawn various items for themselves on demand, etc. Basically, these types of practices start with the leadership there and trickle down to the others. I would know firsthand, since I used to be part of their group last year (as an admin even) and left on my own terms over fundamental differences in gaming philosophy regarding the aforementioned issue.
That's not the way I want(ed) to play and felt like it violated my reason for doing so in the first place, especially at this level (that is to say Realism Expert): to meet challenges head-on and to try and tackle those legitimately. You see, my mentality is that of an oldschool gamer. I've been fortunate to have some really good players and great people over the course of my journey through the gaming world to learn and grow from/with. Guys who showed me the value of honesty, and not just in the way you play but how you conduct yourself as a person. They showed me what real skill was and what it meant to be a true team, and helped me be the best player that I could be, made me see how there are no shortcuts to getting there, and how it is as much about the journey as the destination.
Together they taught me a code of sorts to follow (kind of like the Samurai and bushido), and it is these principles that I cannot help but abide by. I believe in them..... and in the integrity of the game.
So anyway, if you are of a similar ilk or value the same things that I do, then you may wish to look elsewhere. Ignore what I have had to say or heed it -- it's entirely up to you.
several custom configs that have a little greater, to a much greater difficulty than normal realisim.
well over 75 custom maps loaded atm,
I've written a versus guide with stabs and was thinking of writing an expert realism guide.
http://v1.steam.hlxgame.cc/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=113762019
The expert realism guide will cover everything from normal difficulty to expert realism.
Going to talk about weapons, strategy, easier maps to get the achievement on, witches, crescendos where the horde ends and those that don't, finales, etc.
Its not going to cover every map, unless you want it to.
You will need to have played completed at least 10 expert realism maps to join in making the guide. It is best if you have tried speed running in expert realism before, because that is a topic I want to cover.
Also you can be the creator of the guide if you have more to contribute, its all for the community anyway.
Would like to finish the guide by this weekend.
Cheers! :)
There are 3 other difficulties, and many different modes. This one is sacred to us, that want to form real groups to dominate the undead!
Party up!
Smoke up!
Shoot 'em up!
Please join my Tour of Terror group too if you want to better connect to games.
