Server is back up. It now restricts some weapons like awp, scout, sg550, and similar. Also, it is a no flashbang server and has VIP. Which means that on each team a person is selected as the VIP. If the VIP dies, the entire team dies. So, teams must strategize between protecting their own VIP and killing the enemy VIP :) On hosty and bomb maps, this still takes effect, but with the added strategy of trying to complete the map objective as well. Lots of fun :)

I have been placed in an EXTREMELY difficult position. Two members of the group have been acting in an extremely unChristlike manner with name-calling, gossip, disrespect to authority, etcetera. Worse yet, they are doing this to those who are brothers and sisters in Christ. I have tried to privately discuss the matter with them but they are unwilling to treat other Christians or Christian admins with the love of Christ and with respect. I can't allow this sort of activity to continue by members of the group. This activity has forced me to make the group private. This means that the only way to get into the group is now to receive an invite from a Group Officer.

Invites will be given out with no requirements or conditions...they are given on request. Group Officers will be responsible to ensure that banned members do not receive invitations.

Alright, we have a few changes now. We now have Mitch Hedberg jokes appearing in our chat box every 90 seconds.

We have updated our admins list in our forum. Those who have not yet gotten to me on being admin will now be removed from our officers list.

We will soon be changing the appearance of the forum, so look forward to that!!!

Next month I will be increasing our server slots and the number of reserved slots.

Indeed :) I'm actually quite surprised at how quickly it has grown and populated. I'm already looking at having to increase the slots next month, I never expected that to be something I'd have to consider doing...lol

We have been having a full server for several days now so I am considering increasing the slots next month. We now have like 10 or so admins for the server. If you are a server admin, please register with the forums. Activity in the forums is NOT required, but if there is a ban protest, we will need your input as to the reason for the ban.

If there are problems in the server, get ahold of any of those I listed, going to their steam profile, click "add as friend", send them a message via your friends list (they don't have to accept the friend request for you to send them a message), and then they will know to come handle any violations of the Code of Conduct in our server.

Franklin Delano Donut has been made player of the week for all his help with setting up the server and helping get things run properly. If I could declare more than one player of the week, it would be Franklin Delano Donut, Palin, and Avi8tor. They have all been great supporters and offered an incredible amount of help getting things going.

Well, got a job. It's 12 hours a day 6 days a week, so I won't have a WHOLE lot of time in the future. Schedule starts as of next week. I will be putting off starting our own server for a bit so I can get settled into the new job. I won't have much time to admin the server myself so I'm counting on our members to help with that. Those who would like to be admins please post here a little about yourself and why you feel you would make a good admin. If you are an admin on any other servers (where you don't have to pay money to be admin and they don't give it away nilly willy) state those servers as well. I'm not going to be overly strict with who gets admin...we need good Christian admins for the server when it gets up and running.

Well, I got back from visiting the parents. Was gone about a week (probs closer to 9 days...not certain). Was lots of fun. In about 5 days I will be able to examine finances and see about getting that experimental server up and running.

Well, I wasn't on much yesterday. Trying to prepare the house for my parent's visit this weekend. But, just want to say HELLO to you all and God bless you ALL :)

Next week I most likely won't be on at all. Going to leave my pc at home while I visit my parents for the week. They'll be coming over this weekend, and then after that we are heading to their place for Spring Break. When I get back hopefully we can get convo going about the upcoming servers. Would love to have as much input from you all as much as possible.

I really don't want to make this a private group but if this sort of thing does continue (and this is the FIRST time it has happened) then I will do so. I am a FIRM believer that all Christians are in the family of Christ and any form of exclusion towards true believers is SIN. I will not change on that. Even if set to private, I will gladly accept any and all indivdiuals who are true Christians, simply invite them and they will be in. I absolutely do not tolerate excluding any brother or sister in Christ from our group nor do I believe in telling members of this group that they are to be loyal to us by not joining other gruops...that is sinful and preached against in scripture. We are not to form exclusionary groups which compete with or demand loyalty to our establishment over other just as tried and true Christian establishments. I will never go either route.

Yes, I had an AWESOME Christmas :) I hope everyone else did as well :)

I'll try to figure out how to put the changes into effect after I get back from my Christmas vacatio with my parents (sometime around the 27th or 28th of this month). I won't be planning any events for this Monday as a result of being out of town.

Teh event was awesome and a lot of fun, lasted nearly 2 hours. Some changes will be made by request of the participants. Long Jump, Health Bonus, and Disarm will be removed from being powers in the game. First, I need to look at the coding to see how to do that, but once I have done so and figured out how, they will be removed per player requests :)

Found a bug with the reserve system that sometimes kicks people even when server is not full. I'll be looking into how to fix that.

Added some Perfect Dark themed custom maps to the server.

I'm very glad. I just noticed I forgot to mention there is a Master Chief skin (from halo) for both CT and T.

New skins sound awesome!

Some new skins have been added to the game. When you go in, you will have to download the skins, but it is a one-time download. YOu won't have to download them again.

You can now play as Banana Joe (CT-ONLY)
Tau Commander (T-ONLY)
Various Star Wars characters (CT and T have different characters you can play on for the Star Wars aspect)
Santa (CT-ONLY)

Ok, I increased the xp increments per level so that now it will take more xp to level up.
XP gains from rescuing hostages are now 4 times higher.
XP Gains from headshot kills now 250 instead of 100.
XP Gains from planting the bomb is now double what it used to be.
XP Gains from defusing bomb is still the same as it was before.
Starting credits increased from 100 to 125.
Credits gained each level increased from 100 to 250.
Maximum level increased from 21 to 100.
All players will be reset if the top 10 levels combined is equal to 100, so chances are no one is going to hit the maximum level.

Ok, I finally completed the motd for the web server. It is based on positive rule enforcement rather than overbearing negatives. Basically rules are represented in a positive rather than a negative manner. For example:

Rather than saying "DO NOT BE DISRESPECTFUL" we say "BE RESPECTFUL" and follow that up with some examples of what is not respectful. Psychologically, positive rule enforcement has been shown to cause individuals to enter feeling that the rules are there to protect them rather than established to control them and results in fewer rule violations in the places this concept has been tested.

Secondly, I do not believe in establishing rules without giving reasons. Rules should be established to protect and to train not to simply control. Therefore, each rule of the motd contains a scrilpture verse that I felt most closely preached that rule.

As of yet, I have not gotten around to doing the major update but I still plan on starting and completing that today.

I am working on an update to the server so if you get any errors in it, it's because I'm working on it.

I am downloading all the files involved with the server as backup so in theory if the new addition causes irreversible ill effects, it should be a simple matter of deleting the altered files and uploading the original files. In theory that is.

Real Estate (An italy styled map with a few surprises).

ODD ARENA V2 (This takes the original Odd Arena and provides it with a whole new floor that can be accessed via a trigger ontop of the center globe. The water can be walked on, but if you destroy the metal ball, the water too will be gone.)

RvB (This is a smaller map but well put together. It's going to be a kill fest in this map).

We are so quick to anounce our love for our spouse, children, etcetera ... why not do so also for God :) He is far more worthy of our praise than any human being could ever hope to be. 8-)

Don't be too discouraged by Salvation V1. It was designed to be a bit...difficult for ct's. CT's will need to charge out of the church, up the hill, grab the hostages, and get them back into the church infront of the pulpit to save them...and yes...the pun is intended :)

T's will not be starting at the hostages. They will also have to charge up the hill to get to the hostages in order to prevent the hostages salvation.

There is a secret tunnel leading directly to the hostages from inside the church. You can easily get on the church roof for a good sniping position. There are some dark areas on the map to help with concealment.
