Server is back up. It now restricts some weapons like awp, scout, sg550, and similar. Also, it is a no flashbang server and has VIP. Which means that on each team a person is selected as the VIP. If the VIP dies, the entire team dies. So, teams must strategize between protecting their own VIP and killing the enemy VIP :) On hosty and bomb maps, this still takes effect, but with the added strategy of trying to complete the map objective as well. Lots of fun :)

All Officers need to approach me for their admin to be set up. Group Officers are required to be server admins. Active involvement in the server is not necessary, but being a server admin for the purpose of at least popping in to resolve a situation is required as a group officer.

If you are already an admin with saved or ccgaming you can become a group officer (server admin) simply by requesting it. You will initiatlly be granted a spot as a Minor Admin and can be promoted to a Major Admin as you show yourself worthy. Staff Admins of saved and Council Members of ccgaming can be automatically established as Major Admins. To become a Head Admin you need to contact Palin, myself or Franklin Delano Donut. Head Admin requires that the three of us first discuss it and come to a decision on it first.

Ok, moving the New Server to May. Got a 12 hour a day 6 days a week new job starting up next week so I won't have time to get it going this month and I need to get into the feel of things with my new job.

Also, those hours will make it difficult for me to be an active admin there. I am counting on all of you to let all your friends know about the server and help keep it clean. We will need some admins for the server and I'm not going to be overly strict with it. If you are a current CC or Saved admin for the CSS or TF2 servers, let me know and you will be automatically accepted as an admin here as well (which also makes you a group admin) if you let me know (via a post in the group) that you want to be. If you are not an admin in those groups, but you are a Christian who wants to help keep the server clean, simply make a post in the group telling us a little about yourself and why you feel you would make a good admin.

We are not a clan, we are not in competition with any other clans. I am simply trying to get a modded server going that Christians can play in because really as of now...there aren't any special modded servers I'm aware of for that. I know both saved and cc don't have that and from time to time...I just need a modded server for a change of pace. I'm sure I'm not the only Christian player in CSS like that :)

Next month I will be able to afford to get our own server going again. The Christian Scrim Team I allowed to temporarily use our server will be obtaining their own server through saved crew. Their server will be funded primarily/solely by Palin from my understanding, but don't quote me on that.

This means that when that occurs we will have a server freed up. My plan is to reduce our current server (being used by the scrim team) to an 8 or 10 slot server and to manage two such servers (this will be the same cost as running one 16 slot server).

My plan is to have one basic server with some cool maps on it. It'll run like a normal server with no major mods in it. I have not yet decided about no-block or ff in that server, that is something we as a group will need to decide upon.

My other server will be more of an experiment of mine. I have come across quite a few mods I think would make it a fun and potentially unique/interesting server to play in.

SECOND SERVER MODS
* Faster Acting Smoke Grenades (release smoke almost immediately upon hitting the ground)
* Nade Quakes (creates a ground shaking effect when exploding nades are thrown.
* The ability to cause nades to explode in mid air or while being held by someone by shooting them.
* Poisonous Smoke Nades cause damage to anyone within them.
* Smoke red instead of grey.
* Limited fuel jet pack to allow for players to fly to tops of buildings normally inaccessible.
* Anti-Team Flash so that flash nades blind enemies and not your own team.
* A special score mod to help ensure that players receive points for accomplishing objectives and NOT for kills. This will help to encourage team play and to encourage players to be more objective focused rather than camping spawn/clutching.
* IED's that can be planted to explode when an enemy comes within proximity of it.
* Random Bots mod will provide the ability for the server to have bots of a varying difficulty. In other words, while on most servers the bot difficult is set so all bots are the same difficulty. Whereas, with this mod we would be able to have bots who are easy to kill, some who are not so easy, and some who present a fun challenge. This means that whether you are new player or incredibly experienced player there would be at least one bot in the server that would be easy to kill or present you with a challenge.

To reiterate, the above mod ideas are for the second server, not for the main server. The main server wouldn't have any mods on it unless our group community wanted noblock or ff enabled/disabled.

It is important to point out that is just a list of mods that I thought would be fun in a server. Nothing in that list is set in stone and I'm not sure whether I will put all of them in or just a few in to my experimental server. However, I thought I'd let ya know what is currently in store for the group.

I have had a couple people ask about getting a forum going for the group. It's not something I've put much thought into in the past nor am I sure that is where this group is heading. I have very big opposition with this turning into just another Christian steam group where a select few individuals rule over a larger majority telling them what they can or can't do and what other clans they can or can not affiliate with. I have never believed that is Biblical and I am concerned that going the route of having our own forum could potentially drive this group in that direction. I see us as simply a family who share a burning love for our God and our Savior Jesus Christ and I would love for us to remain united under that common doctrine of Christ crucified and risen without the potential for that being tainted by power or self ambition. I will, however, take the idea of setting up a forum and consider it as a possibility and if this is something that the group as a whole seems to want, then I will consider giving in (however reluctantly) and pay to host it as well. Right now, I neither see it as a need or as a beneficial addition to our community.
