oh I never meant I thought he was a regeneration of the doctor, I just meant he acted like how I would expect a pony version of the doctor to be like. (obviously yeah, they contradict stuff so it is implied he is not.)

I kinda thought they just made a character who is similar enough to put all these references in but is in no way even implied to have any relation or anything. Like, I'm pretty sure he says stuff (like about his reasons for the interest in science, and how he doesn't know what "man" is) that directly contradicts any possibility of him being a "regenerated doctor" - correct me if I'm wrong about that though (I don't know if a regenerated doctor would've lost the memory of humans, for example...). That's exactly how I like it, too.

Sort of like they went about Lyra's sitting like a human. They made it a quirk of hers but all the signs point at the actual "human fan" ideas being false. That kind of approach is probably why the episode worked so well for me. It was sort of referential to fanons without actually adopting any fanons, and instead it made everything different enough to deconfirm them.

there weren't really many direct references per say, just his entire character payed homage to the various doctors over the years. He was the archetype doctor, and they made him really work in the pony world. It worked because it wasn't just references, rather it felt like what might happen if the doctor regenerated into a pony.

I am 100% indifferent to Doctor Who but the "Doc" was a cool character anyway, I really liked him. The "particularly traumatic experience", "turns out there's a magic spell for it", "it's just crazy enough to work", and when he asked what "man" was... and the "of course it's love that ignites those fireworks, duh" joke... they really made him amazing on his own. Although it's possible that like 95% of those were dr.who references I guess? Actually, were there direct references apart from "allons-y", the scarf, and the fact that he talked about time travel (I guess him being with Rose in that one scene also counts as one)?

yup, that really was something special. As a doctor who fan I apreciated it more than most XD

Man I remember having exams and such... so nice to see others fret about them nowadays. :P I'm great, doubly so after a certain ep100.

More like, if you have access to any of our stuff by virtue of being some random tester or even a member of the team (although I doubt that the latter really need to be told this since they know better), don't post any of it for everyone to see without specific permission from either Ben or maybe Lightsolver. If you actually see a "leak" that doesn't look official, the best course of action would probably be to report it to us (in any way you want, even publically here in the group - it doesn't matter too much) so we can find out who could've done it and give them a stern talking to at least.

also at request of the devs, if you have information that you think is a leak then I wont post about it. Stuff that is official is good, but leaks can be a pain for the devs so lets try and not use them.

well the brony fandom survived 11 months of hiatus, so I asume this group will be fine with small bits of hibernation. I am sure it will spring back into life if more stuff happens in the future.

Don't worry totallycarbon, if we release some new info I'll probably mention it here. We aren't looking to be dishing out a lot of stuff all the time though, so you should get used to dry spells.

I had some dude with a pony avatar comment on a random game screenshot in my profile with a bunch of disjointed insults and the word "brony", but I just deleted that and didn't even remember his name.
