I feel like there's a certain level of speed missing from the game as a result.
Concerning hitreg: It really is markedly better. I joined one of the first servers I saw after the update with a very cynical attitude and I was quickly surprised when each shot I knew hit actually registered. Some of you had tuned your rates for optimal hit registration, and some of you got very used to compensating the slightest bit with your crosshair... but honestly, OB engine handles hit reg much better naturally than the old engine.
But seriously...valve has ♥♥♥♥♥♥ all of us for how long on updates? After how many attempts at getting ANY of the bugs fixed? They give one poorly thought out update that didn't do a single thing for any REAL bugs in the game and you suck their balls like they're made of candy. You know damn well they put absolutely NO effort into this update whatsoever and "Oh it's not so bad!" I lol in your general direction.
Sure, the bhop is mildly -OK-. I could play with it no problem. But why? The Half Life 2 Deathmatch: Orange Box mod will always be better than what Valve will ever put effort in to. That's the real message here. Be sure to get it right.
