Livestreams now a weekly thing!

Yep, it has been decided! We have the time, we have the technology, and now we have a weekday to boot! Livestreams will happen every wednesday night, starting at around 8:30 pm GMT / 3:30 pm EST and continuing for 2-4 hours from there on!

As often as possible we will be dual-streaming, meaning that you will be able to watch the game from both mine (Jerry) and Traff's perspectives. Traff will be streaming on the HighStakesLP twitch channel, while I will be using the Thalarctia channel. You can watch both streams simultaneously by copying this URL: {LINK REMOVED}

We will be doing another livestream this thursday at around 8 pm GMT, 3 pm EST. We will start out with some lovely GTA IV shenanigans, and then move on to other games as the stream progresses!

Hey folks!

We'll be starting our silly saturday livestream in just about an hour! Make sure that you join us at www.twitch.tv/highstakeslp if you wanna watch and hang out!

Just for good measure, in case any of you want to join us for some of the games we will be playing, here is the checklist of stuff to prepare beforehand!

Install TeamSpeak 3 and keep it updated. We use a high quality codec for audio transmission, which was introduced in a recent update.
Make sure that your mic is of decent quality (we won't allow most webcam microphones for instance), that it is installed and working, and that TeamSpeak plays audio through a headset, so we do not echo.
Make sure that you have picked a nickname, something easy to say and remember, so that we can easily identify you and call you out.
In the case of Prop Hunt, install Counter Strike: Source, Garry's Mod and the prop hunt expansion from the Steam Workshop. Make sure that when you start up Garry's Mod, you can pick Prop Hunt when clicking the "Sandbox" button in the lower right hand corner.
Finally, we ask that only people above the age of 18 join us. This is nothing personal, just a precaution.

I wanted to take a moment to welcome and thank you all for joining the group here. It means a great deal to us that we have managed to gather a (small) community who wish to engage themselves actively in what we do!

Now, on to some real stuff:
I, Jerry, am at the moment in the process of writing my Master's Thesis, and it is taking close to all of my avaliable time and energy. Because I am in the writing phase, I am rather flexible though, which means I am able to do stuff with High Stakes whenever people can get on, but stuff like community interaction and my own channel tends to get downprioritized because of me being this busy. Hopefully this will ease up once I hand it in early october.

Spriggs is currently also rather busy with his so-called real life, but he should be back in business within a week or so, so expect some lovely Prop Hunt in the near future!

PeaceBuddha works nightshifts, which is generally good for timing between the four of us, but he has a lot of overtime right now. This should hopefully also resolve itself come october.

For Traff, everything is just business as usual, which is why we will be having a few series of just me and him playing.

Now, all of this makes it rather hard for us to do stuff 4 people at once, so when we finally get an hour or two with all of us, we try to do as much as we can. Hopefully we can get a bunch of you included in some future recording sessions, but do not be disheartened if nothing happens over the next two weeks.
