I know I haven't been on in forever, but I wanted to let you guys know I'm still here and care about the server. A lot of other things have taken up my time lately. I'll be back on the server more frequently as soon as possible. See ya. :)

Doing so just encourages those shoddy people coming up to an admin and cozying up, only to break rules and say "I'm an admin's friend, don't mess with me." Both spectrums are bad and best avoided. I frequent the server best I can these days but the fact I still log and get complaints shows even now we can improve. So just take care that it's not a special magical button we have that lets us noclip, but a command list that comes with the authority to keep a server that a good friend pays for to stay populated.

Not sure if this got removed or some weirdness happened but to sum up: I've been getting complaints of admins giving preferential treatment or mistreatment on their whims. Now, I've had the time to see that there's people I just don't like that frequent servers but it's best not to focus on them for abuse or them losing warnings over mere "I dislike them." It's hard, but it makes the server a clique playground if we let it. The reverse is true: you can't give prefrence to friends.

There's been complaints sent to me by a few players of bans that're needless or biased. I'm finding out their stories but I'm just letting you guys know to be careful on the idea that adminship doesn't put you above things, in case any of the complaints have ground.

I already let Tink know, and she told me that Half-bit will fix it as soon as he's available. We just need to keep fixing the map manually in the meantime.

The past few mornings I've had to change the map back to classic 2fort. Not sure if it's an admin or if people are triggering mapvotes again, but I figured I'd let everybody know we got a mapchanger on the loose. (Pretty sure it isn't rotating because it stays classic until I go to sleep.)

Question on ban arrived in my inbox today: Spider. Banned for spawn camping. Says he walked by once and was perma-banned.

Anyway I definitely used to give no clip to people at the map change (not round end), so I doubt that's me but I'll stop anyway.

Alrighty, new rule! Booo!! Yeah sorry to say guys, but from now on, other than occasional noclip and sm_colorize commands, we are no long allowed to give out commands to regular players. Too often, we give rules to the regulars to not use a special command we give them to kill, and it keeps getting broken. It ends up at the expense of someone else's hard earned KD. So from now on, those "other" commands need to be reserved just for admins.

That also reminds me, whichever admin is giving everyone noclip at the end of each round: Please stop. I've noticed this for like 5 days straight now. If I find you, I'm going to fart on your face. That is all!!

Tertiary would like to know why he was banned. I just need a reply on this so I can go back to my usual day of doing editing work and not getting him messaging asking why lol

Something new to watch out for: I'm starting to notice a couple individuals who are using the stunme command to exit out of certain animations, during play. rroberts being the more obvious one. I started to issue temp bans for this when I notice someone doing it every 5 seconds. If they're unable to stop themselves from this, it'll end up being a permanent ban.

I'm posting this here, too. Kritzkingvoid is banned permanently. Earlier today, I got a domination on him and he immediately left and came back. I didn't think too much of it, because it could have been an internet issue. Tonight, I got a domination on him again and after his repeatedly trying to get it off, was unsuccessful. He left and came immediately back. I started to think he was removing it this way instead of the more obvious way by going through spectate. I still didn't say anything.

When he came back, he was a scout and while fighting myself and a pyro, he used the cola that makes it so you can't hit the person. So I pinned him between the pyro and he couldn't move anywhere, and the pyro was continuing with their flames. So it was pretty obvious he was going to die since he couldn't leave. He then left the server before that could happen, and came immediately back. Kritzkingvoid has been banned before. I don't remember the reasons, but this was the last draw. It is permanent.

I have been in talks with "shoedude," and due to some email exchanges I've decided to unban him.

Just banned an aimbotter, and kicked a guy that was being a smartass saying the aimbotter wasn't cheating.
:"Hey, you should spectate me too, I could be hacking. Or maybe I should lower my skill to not get banned?"

Edit: Actually after digging up a little more I found out the second guy is friends with the cheater which explains many things. Feel free to ban him if you see him on.

Helo, My friend Raos ( # 165 "RTS Looking Defiant Spartan" STEAM_0:1:41122722 08:25 105) is asking me for unban. He said he was banned beacuse was wrangling a sentry long time ago. I'm sure he will not do it again.

If you have friends that are "smart asses" as the term goes, they may want to relax when coming to the server. I've just banned someone listed in the banlist for attacking another admin. Guys don't take this crap. Especially don't take it if it's a friend. I'm watching these guys walk all over some of you, and then you're surprised when I ban them. You guys are admins, and don't deserve to be pushed around.

One last thing, even though I've said before that I will take and have taken on multiple occasions the responsibility of a ban that someone else did, that doesn't mean I should be thrown under the bus, because I have certain rules. Some players want admins to do certain things, if you've been told not to, let them know why we can't. Not just "Mech-Anic said I can't...yeah I don't understand why...seems fine to me...blah blah blah." That's the same as saying "Hey I'm the sensible one, but that mech-anic guys..geeesh..." You know what I mean? Not exactly fair to me.

Bans first guy -> Second guy begins wrangling
Bans second guy -> Third guy begins wrangling
Bans third guy -> Fourth guy begins wrangling

Anyway I'll add their names and steams and everything to the ban list. Also I accidentally timebombed a guy since he had a similar name to one of the offenders. Woops.

Same process of how im dealing with tertiary, we talk to the one who banned him, find out why, then pass on to mech the reason and if he feels unban is good.

He contacted me today and apparently after 4 months of not logging he seems to be banned. He also doesn't seem to "remember" why he got banned so any info would be useful.

Well I kicked him last night for spawn camping and being a ♥♥♥♥, maybe he came back and kept doing it and someone else banned him. Dev was on last night after I left. I'd ask him.

Why was Tertiary banned (again apparently). Don't think he's a friend that I'm asking this for, by the by...he's the type that added me simply because I was one of the two admins of the time.

I banned "nitro3328" STEAM_0:0:539657 after many warnings he continued wrangling his sentry from the sniper deck.

I think Ace Gottam has been banned by nearly everyone at one point, ever since the server was created. Just by the sheer amount of bans, it's a no. Him asking why is pretty much an insult. I know he's been banned for camping repeatedly, removing dominations, etc.

Is there any chance that returns the previous weighting ranking points system? I remember the lock-n-load makes 4 points for kill and Kanatan 8 points per kill.
