Guilty Gear XRD is scheduled to be released on PS3 & 4 this December in North America, only 12 days after the official Japanese launch.

Though, I'm not going to be surprised if a few delays happen.

Not too long ago it looks like the character descriptions on XRD's portal site were updated to include more than just a small description of the character and their moveset. They now seem to include personality and story descriptions alongside their small overall outlines.

Accurate translations would be appriciated if you have the ability to do so.

From what I gather, this looks to be the gist of it. (Probably not right)

Sol, Ky, Potemkin, etc: War against Valentine and her forces if any (there most likely are). Zepp is involved in helping Illyria. Sol can't stop thinking about his encounter with the previous Valentine model he encountered during Overture. Ky seems to recieve what I think is an "annonymous tip" regarding Valentine. While Illyria and Zepp's forces seem to fight off any attackers, Sol, Ky, and Potemkin all head to Japan to confirm rumors. (Apart. Sol and Ky may be traveling together)

Axl Low: Finally decides to address his temporal warp problems without trusting people like Faust. He's told by an enigmatic man that ISN'T 'That Man' to do something to 'That Man'. I have no idea at the moment.

The Assassins (Venom, Zato, Millia): A strange order (The PWAB, or those mysterious guys from XT?) offers the restoration of Zato-ONE's body and control over Eddie again in return for a service from the Assassin's Guild currently led by Venom. Zato awakens in their headquarters and isn't allowed to leave, so he and Eddie assume they have to live there forever. Zato thinks about Millia and Venom and decides to try and team up with Eddie again and bust themselves out hoping to find them again. It's assumed Millia and Venom team up as well to get to the bottom of this.

Slayer and Faust: Faust recieves a letter from Slayer, probably asking for them to meet up. Slayer was planning on retirement, but the recent news of a new Valentine appearing with hostile intent and Zato being revived unsettled him and he decided to fight again to try and get some answers. It's assumed Faust accompanies Slayer for most of this adventure.

I-no (I had a lot of trouble with this, so this is definately where help would be appricated) : Thinking of Valentine's threat to the world as bothersome and redundant. Apparently having insight on what's to come, I-no heads to Japan.

May (Had big trouble here as well): After recieving news on Valentine's declaration of War on the world, May decides she should "kick the asses of those annoying to the good of the world". She seems to be having some trouble with her growth spurt, but doesn't let it bother her nonetheless and sets sail to the East.

Chipp Zanuff: It appears he stayed in Illyria for a short while and now leads a sepeate village that at first glance appears to be a group of Bandits. Chipp wishes his village could have the same recognition as King Kiske's Kingdom and thinks joining the fight against Valentine could help boast some fame.

Months back a bunch of concept art for a good portion of the GG cast was dug[s1014.photobucket.com] up by someone and eventually became widespread news. At first it was thought they were just 'beta' designs to the Xrd character styles because of the similarities between them and the current Xrd forms we see here.

They're not.

According to various sources, these designs are used in a pachinko/slot machine Guilty Gear game (as some of you might already know) called Guilty Gear Vastedge XT. I've also been told that this 'slot machine' game is the true story successor to Guilty Gear 2: Overture and comes right before Xrd's story.

Why is this important? It looks like the man that most fans compare to Street Fighter 3's character, "Q" (The one sitting on the throne), was one of the 4 main villains of XT and may or may not be pulling the strings behind the events of XRD. It's rumored they're behind Zato's "resurrection" and are plotting to do something horrible to Ky.

Just another minor update for those concerned in the story and whatnot. This also should mean that the XX returning characters who appeared in XT might have a high chance of returning in a form that's pretty similar to their appearance there.
