Unleashed in Black Desert Information

With Black Desert coming out soon I wanted to share information regarding the establishing the guild there and to openly invite all members of the group into joining us in Black Desert Online when it releases on March 3rd (or sooner depending on the preorder package you purchased) should you like to join us.

To be on the same page on where to create your character, Unleashed will be on the Edan NA server just as it was on the CBT2.

Rich kids who preorder the Conqueror's Package (100$) will have early release access tomorrow, February 28th and can meet up with Silly to hang out and help in acquiring the funds to start the guild.

Explorer's and Traveler preorders will have early access on March 1st and 2nd respectively.

If you have a name reservation from the preorder feel free to leave it in the comments so we can easily add one another.

ZergID

You're invited to try out ZergID, it's a social media site centered on MMO's.

It can be thought as a Facebook made for MMO gamers where you can keep in touch with other players you know across diferent games all in one convenient site while still keeping anonymity of personal life.

A few cool things about this site are that you can set a profile for each character you play on different games (including Vindictus!) so you're friends can keep track of your alts in the games you play or have them know when you're trying a new game and know where to find you should you decide to join in as well. You can post messages related to a game along with screenshots or even artwork for your friends and other Zerg users to see. While the it's still a work in progress the site will have functioning support for guilds as well with forums.

There's even an Android app for messaging with an iOS version on the way.

The site is new and it's still barebones so some functionalities are still being worked on and the developers are taking user feedback to help build and improve the site. It doesn't have support for every MMO at the moment but they are adding more along the way, in fact Vindi was added just recently. If something is not there you can request it!

ZergID looks like a cool idea and it is free so I really encourage you guys to give it a try and see what it has to offer. Once guild functions as it should I will be posting updates, news, announcements, or events through it along with Steam so nobody misses out.

Battlefield Hardline Closed Beta

For those of you who are interested EA has opened Closed Beta registration for PC via Origin and Xbox One for their upcoming game Battlefield Hardline.Registration is first come first serve so sign up for beta as soon as you can.

Vindictus: May Update (Go for Halo!)

So instead of doing copy pasta to keep everyone up to date on the wonderful world of Vindictus, I figured I highlight key features added to Vindictus on the May 21st/22nd update to condense the information.

UPDATES

S1 Hero Raids
All the Rocheste raids and Fomorian Leader have hero mode now starting at Lv. 70. These are faster and buffed raid battles that doesn't seem to offer much dropwise other than 3* version of their current gear drops and extra cores to get them with.

Jump Removed
Whether you liked jump or hated it, it's now removed from the game. While this means that bosses that required any form of jumping has been adjusted so it can be blocked or dodged (essentially making large shields obsolete in the process) there is still some derps going on in some raid battles such as Bark where you now can slide from Bark so brace yourselves.

Binded Scrolls
Though this wasn't listed as part of the update, word is now that enchants now become binded after a single transaction. Apperently this is part of the effort against botters.

Karok Revamp
Pillar Karoks get a revamp with new skills, uncapped ranks, and range adjustments.

EVENTS

Golden Time Event- 5/24 & 5/25
Hot time events this weekend which you will get goodies if you're logged in during 7PM Pacific. Saturday will give you 5 Unbind potions, a Title Fortune Cookie that contains a mysterty title (nontradable), a Monster Bingo pink ticket, a tradable Golden Time stamp to use on the stamp shop in conjunction with future golden time events. Sunday will give you 2 Fusion Runes, another Bingo Pink ticket and another Golden Time stamp.

Monster Bingo 5/21 - 6/08
Much like previous Bingo events, you collect bingo tickets to fill your board for prices. Whats different about this Bingo event is that it seconds as an attendance event as you get one ticket hidden from a specific boss each day for 25 days so you'll need to get a ticket each day without missing one day to get all the prizes with a Shining Halo being the black out prize.

More info on this event here. [vindictus.nexon.net] For your convinience I'll be putting which bosses the bingo tickets are located each day in the ingame guild notice to save you from checking back here or digging through the forums.

Notice: Because of the nature of this event and bad timing due to a late night game update we all missed the bingo ticket of May 21st. There will be a maintenance that will distribute that missing ticket the same night this is posted. Also this event like previous Bingos can be obtained on multiple characters on the same account so you can get more prizes then.

Expertise Event 5/20 - 5/25
There is an ongoing expertise event that gives you 2 points of expertise everyday from 5-7 Pacific. The site says you can only get 2 points at a time but the bonus point still applies so you can still have a chance at 3 points per craft.

DFO Returns!

Dungeon Fighter Online returns! For those who don't know about it, Dungeon Fighter Online was an arcade beat em up game published by Nexon that ended up getting shut down. Whether you miss playing it, never got the chance to do so, or was ever curious about it; we now have a second chance.

But the biggest twist to this is that the game is NOT being published by Nexon. Instead it's original developer of the game is now publishing this game and Alpha Testing begins tomorrow, May 15th with the game available to download now.

Guild goals for now

For the past month or so, our Vindictus guild has been in a bit of a decline for one reason and another and has resulted in the lack of activity and the unfortunate departure of some of our esteem members. With that said I have made it my personal goal to view our current issues and do my best to address this situation in the most reasonable ways possible.

To do this, I have set up some plans to help reorganize the guild to make it enjoyable to new and veteran members alike.

Attempting further expansion: This will be done by either updating or renewing our guild recruitment page on the forums (Ani contact me about this when you can) and announcing recruitment via megaphones in game from time to time.

Moderating guild behavior: Our hopes for this guild is for it to always be social, mature, and fun for everyone in it. While we try not to impose many rules on you since we hope we all act mature enough for it to not have much need to enforce heavy rules, there is times where the line between having fun and being disruptive can seem rather blurred. I ask admins to help moderate guild member behavior should any of them get disruptive. I also ask members to speak up if certain behavior becomes disruptive, disrespectful, or rude.

Boosting social play: I'll try my best to set up guild activities such as guild raids, scroll farming, season 2 runs, along with some guild events which I will post in the announcements as they are planned. I ask for members capable of hosting to do so whenever they can. Not mandatory but it would help in the expansion effort when we get to it and it would be greatly appreciated.

With all this said, I thank you for your continued loyalty to the guild and if you have any suggestions please don't hesitate to bring them up.

Winter Events Galore!

Have you ever dreamed of taking on a GM, mano a mano? Well, from February 26th to March 4th you'll have a chance to show one who's boss in the Catch the Runaway GM! event. From 5:00 PM through 8:00 PM PST each day, a GM will enter the PvP Arena 2-3 times at random to face a lucky (or unlucky) player in a 1v1 match. The GM will have nothing to their name but a sword and a Runaway Inner Armor set, but trust us: even in their undies, our GMs don't mess around.

Defeat the GM and you'll score yourself a Police Force Avatar set.

Want more events? You got 'em!! From February 26th to March 11th take part in the Arena Celebration Seal Event. During the event period you'll be able to earn double medals for completing PvP matches in the Arena. The total number of medals that can be obtained per week is also being doubled, from 70 to 140. Note that observing matches will not award you medals. Using the Triumph Medal Bonus Capsule will further double the number of medals awarded, to a grand total of 4 per victory.

Last but not least, Vindictus will be holding an Attendance Event from February 26th to March 18th. Log in to the game for seven consecutive days and you'll score yourself one of our brand new Snowflake items, the Snowflake Right Epaulet. Log in for another consecutive week and you'll get Exclusive Inner Armor Enchantment Scroll, and if you're a truly awesome and dedicated player and log in for 21 days straight, you'll get a Stormy Racer/Forsythia Avatar Set.

Dress For Winter With New Snowflake Items

Unless you're south of the equator or living in sunny southern California, chances are your house is currently buried in snow. And that just sounds awful. It's high time you warm up by the fire and slay as many monsters as possible.

From February 26th to March 11th dress for blizzards, whiteouts, nor'easters and worse with the Snowflake Necklace, Brooch and Epaulet.

Not only are these wintery items fashionable, but they bestow powerful buffs upon their wearers. Put on the Snowflake Necklace and you'll receive +400 buff to your Attack and Magical Attack, as well as +1 to your Attack Speed and +10 to your Luck. Meanwhile, the Brooch will boost your Defense by a whopping 800 points, while the Epaulet gives you +200 Attack/Magical Attack and +3 Balance. Wear all three at once and you'll receive an awesome set effect.

Enter the Arena - New PvP System

Every mercenary, warrior and barbarian under the sun loves to kill monsters. Vindictus has some truly massive and terrifying bosses- have you SEEN Bark No. 1??!! –but sometimes killing wave after wave of Fomor lacks a certain... gusto.

If you want a real challenge than look no further: the PvP Arena is here. Vindictus has featured PvP modes in the past, but nothing like this. Enter the arena and face off against other skilled human players mano a mano. Got cold feet? Observe battles as a spectator and take notes to improve your game.

Two Enter. One Leaves.

When you log in to Vindictus, you'll notice a new icon in the UI menu at the bottom of your screen, in the shape of the Roman Colosseum. Click on the icon to enter the 1v1 arena, or to access other PvP modes. Note that the minimum level requirement to enter the arena is Lv. 40, though you can still observe matches at lower levels.

If you choose the 1v1 mode, you'll enter a waiting room and have your name added to the wait list if other players are currently in the arena. While you wait, you can click the Observe button to watch other mercenaries duke it out.

Are You Not Entertained??!!

Arena matches last for 90 seconds but end automatically if a player's HP is reduced to 0. If you're pushed out of the field's boundaries, you'll receive damage every 0.5 seconds until you get back in the arena.

If you emerge victorious, you'll be rewarded with a Triumph Medal. Collect medals and trade them in to the Rocheste Battlemaster for Artifacts, new equippable items that provide powerful buffs. You can also obtain Ranking Titles so you can show off your skillz to fellow Vindictus players.

The new Arena mode is the perfect way to assert your dominance over your Vindictus rivals. With all previous PvP modes now streamlined under a single, slick interface, it's never been a better time to play.

Return to Vindictus and Get Rewarded

We know you're busy. School, work, the great outdoors. You've got stuff to do, and sometimes there just isn't enough time in the day to slay monsters.

Titanfall Beta [UPDATE]

Update: The beta has been opened for everyone and will run until Wednesday so those who didn't get in the first time nows your chance to try Titanfall out.

EA has opened beta registration for PC via Origin and Xbox One for their upcoming game, Titanfall. Registration ends on February 14 at 4PMpst and if you are selected you will have an email no later than Ferbruary 17 at 11:59PM.

Titanfall is a first person sci-fi shooter developed by Respawn Entertainment, former members of Infinity Ward who had involvement in working on some Call of Duty games. The game features fast pace infantry combat as expected in all fps games with a mix of usage of mech-like walkers called Titans and is set to come out on March 11th for PC and Xbox One.
