OK, what I have 'ere are 2 different addon sets for Garry's Mod. I'm gonna to explain to you what each of them are for, so clean ya ears out and click on the links below:

What does this do?
This addon collection is called the "Standard" collection for a reason. This addon collection is the set of addons that will always be mounted on any of our Garry's Mod servers whe we host them. This will consist of basic addons, such as player models, game mechanics and the likes. Essentially, all the important addons go in this collection.

And this one?
This addon collection here is the one where the magic happens. You see, whatever topic/theme/♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ we have decided on doing that day/night/other, all the addons that are related to that topic we plan to use, but will not be there permanently, belong in this collection. If the topic was 'Racing', cars, checkpoints and maps would be uploaded to this one here, and everyone would get the new addons for that game.

So, that's that. If you want a constantly updated addon set, a follow to that collection will allow you to update your subscriptions everytime a tweak or change is made to the collections. As you may know, a lot of Gmod maps that you play will use textures and materials from other games. This can also appear in mods and will result in red ERROR signs and purple-black checkered floors. To fix this you COULD go and download the games for 20 bucks each OR you can download them for absolutely nothing at this website! I recommend downloading the following as they are the most commonly used materials by map creators.

Make sure you are clicking on the right resource pack in the right category.

To install this, just extract the folder from the zip folder, navigate to your garrys mod addon folder, and drop it in. ALL DONE!

Here is a quick way to get to your gmod folders, if you don't know how to manually.

1. Go to steam library
2. Right-click Garrys-Mod and select Properties
3. Select the local files tab and if your device is restricted by an admin you can press Browse Local Files
4. Go to garrysmod\addons. DONE!
