@Euch i am sorry you feel that we have been unfair for your game however if you have disclosed the use of ai on your store page we will mark the game as such regardless of how you used it. We are against the use of ai in any kind of way

I'm the solo dev for Ninjamboree. I've taken pretty sizable strides to not use AI where it matters. I've tried my hardest to disclose when I have. My store page reads like this:

"AI has been predominately used in the form of a chatbot efficiency tool. I've used it to troubleshoot matchmaking logic flows, I've pasted blocks of text for it to clean up readability or catch spelling errors, I just asked it for the quickest way to change images to grayscale in MS Paint as I was creating Steam Achievements. Things like that."

AI produced no code, no art, no music. I really just use it to learn and as a sounding board to develop/refine my own ideas.

I was never contacted. My game was never played. I'm not convinced they even read my AI disclosure section.

To copy/paste a 'review' of "Used genAi in game creation" for my game is - at best - a gross overgeneralization of the topic. At worst it is an outright lie.

I am disheartened.

I have removed the AI generated art from my game, Riftborne, please can you update your review as it contains incorrect information now.

@AlexZ most of the time it is said on the store page itself but in times of it not showing we normally use what the devs have said or what other gamers have found

How do you check if a game uses AI? There are a few games I wanted to get that you marked as AI, and I want to know that I'm not putting them on "ignore" on hearsay

Might be a mistake on one of the reviewed games. The group review for Knight's Path says it used Generative AI in the game development process, but the steam page says they used AI for spellchecking purposes (so not generative), and specifically states "All game content ... is created and manually edited by the development team. No AI is used to generate in game content, and nothing is generated dynamically during play"
