And Poeticjedi make an interesting point. Problem is, the legislation is passed, in several hundred pages of what's in it for the cable companies etal., yet, nowhere is it in writing that the cable, internet, and phone companies have our best interest in mind except for their "Promise".

Think about this... Your cable company "promises" to be at your home for service at 3pm and shows up two days later or not at all. They "promise" to keep our bills low. And we are to believe their "Promise" that the undoing of the Net Neutrality is in our best interest?
Those entities that have been screwing us for years want us to believe them still? OMG

Maybe, but just show that to us in writing, the "promises", the guarantees that we will be better off that is...

Nice group guys. I and many other have been fighting this fight for about the past 6 months and "D" day is December 14. Very sad that so many people right here in the USA do not even still know what this is about. And so not be deceived, it will not stop with the USA...

We must save the internet! Chairman Pai is a money hungry bastard who will probably go back to verizon after he guts Net Neutrality so he makes even MORE money.

Just so everyone is clear, everyone's fears of ""net neutrality"" not existing and the outcomes therein are in direct contradiction to all prior history of the consumer level internet which has effectively played under these same rules. PLEASE be careful with your definitions of net neutraility, the term has been destroyed for years, it holds no real meaning anymore and can be molded to mean what either side of the argument wishes. The real question is this: Should your gov't control your internet, or should YOU? All that has made the internet a thriving and positive force in the world has come from individual and entrepreneurial actions, sometimes taken in groups, but still done as willing individuals. If you relinquish one of the greatest vehicles for freedoms man has created, we will have no one to blame but ourselves. keep the internet free...from regulation, not competition.

As I live in Holland I guess it will not affect me directlty. If I understand enough of the subject, Holland and a few other countries has net neutrality secured by law.
Very good you started this group.
