GDG Official Programming Jam July 27th - 29th

The Game Developer's Guild will be hosting a Programming Jam starting Friday July 27th through Sunday July 29th. For those who don't know what a Programming Jam is, it is a time where us programmers come together and program a specific game in a short amount of time (all day and all night) based on the given theme.

The theme for this Programming Jam is: CHESS!

This will be a group activity. We will be taking the game of Chess and break down its basic rules to design and program it into a video game. Of course, you are free to do your homework instead and you can get help from your fellow students or simply come and observe the process of game development firsthand.

So that is Friday, July 27th - 29th in the Multi-Purpose Room (MPR) at Taylor Hall.

GDG LAN + OSBGD = Good Day of Gaming (G.D.G.)

Due to Spring Orientation, the dorms will not be hosting a LAN party next month. Therefore, the GDG has decided that on Februrary 18th, after hosting OSBGD in the day (and after we eat dinner), we will be hosting a special GDG LAN Party in the cafeteria at 8pm.

That's right! Both events will be happening on the same day! This day will be known as the Good Day of Gaming, or the GDG G.D.G. (get it?) So don't miss out on all the fun on February 18th.
