I've seen a lot of posts about the new redirect, but haven't found an infected addon yet, it's probably a reupload of an existing addon. Look for "fixed" versions of addons.

Don't be focusing solely on Backdoors. People need help with problems. Technical or otherwise.

So far I have not founded any addons that has a backdoor in the Workshop. Infected addons in the Workshop are quite low. Nice.

Apparently, Somilia.Team are hackers and they are threatning to hack me. Track me down and possibly murder me. I don't believe that obviosuly but that's really disturbing to hear.

The problem is that many people will never know this group, and the group will stay hidden permantly no matter what. Advertising is bad so, one of our members might get banned for advertising this group.

I hope people will notice this group if there too shy to ask questions in the GMod forums, or they just simpily want to ask questions here to keep this group alive.

It's very much alive. As we are not just some group who only cares about Backdoored addons. Our second purpose is to help those who are having problems with GMod.

Admins are still posting yet people out or in the group without admin are not. I think this is proof that it definetly died out.

A group can only stay dead if nothing is provided to keep it alive.

Guys, I was testing an addon but then its ya boy messaged me something. It was when the day GMod was released, GMod was released on the december 24th and the date of the hack announced was on the 25th.

I love what you have started. Im just a kid, and dont want to be scarred by the gman virus or get nightmares by the remember dec. 25th thing. The world/workshop needs more people like you to protect users from addons with viruses. All i have to say is thank you.

Members are the people who don't wish to partake in our group's efforts and wish to recieve information about addons and problems.

So you mean a moderator has to choose a task? like information collectors, technical support etc.?

Moderator is considered as "Assigned to a task" It has quite the limited choices pretty much the same as member. Officer is "administrator".

How does one become a moderator on this group?

Poodlecorp? I know that guy. He hacked the greatest youtubers in YouTube. I guess we should remain vigilant and see what addons are infected because that guy is a dangerous hacker.

It's not actual ISIS, so there's no reason to worry.

PoodleCorp got the government involved because they were inflicting on many US laws protecting online use, because they took down large companies online servers and hacked social media accounts. This garrys mod addon stuff, nothing has happened yet, nothing illegal atleast, so we're on our own until something does happen, and if it's serious enough, maybe (MAYBE) facepunch will help.

For all we know, this could be a hoax.

Poodlecorp got caught because the government got involved. The government isn't going to get involved for a couple of rogue addons on a 10 year old game.

It is currently impossible to find the addons that cause it unless the entire community help us.
