FGN will be going live with an official Tier 2 Boosted Discord server. For now we’re going to operate both our existing TS3 server and this Discord server. Having a Discord server will provide FGN a much needed improvement in community chat and provide the community a place to come together as a whole to find shared interests; whether they be gaming, tech, hobbies, memes, etc. With greater focus on chat, members in a variety of time zones can more easily participate in community discussion.

We are aware that members have been asking for a Discord server and by ignoring it for so long have lost members who migrated away from Teamspeak. While the FGN admins don’t fully agree with Discord’s approach to server “ownership”, we know that to grow FGN we need to adapt.

FGN Teamspeak Rank System

Hi all,

I'm pleased to say we've launched a new Rank System for our Teamspeak 3. Now you may be thinking what exactly is this rank system and what is the difference between it and the other server groups already on the server such as the Verified group.

Well first off the rank system works in conjunction with the Verified group, and won't replace it. They set out to achieve different goals.

The Rank System is here to reward and reflect long term members of the Forge Gaming Network. Hence why the rank system is based you active time spent on the FGN Teamspeak.

We are starting out with 5 groups which you can acquire through the rank system:

Herald: - 1 Month Active Time
Guardian: - 3 Month Active Time
Crusader: - 6 Month Active Time
Legend: - 12 Month Active Time
Ancient: - 24 Month Active Time

This won't be easy!

These won't be easy to aquire, Herald alone should take well over 2 - 3 months for a dedicated user to aquire, but that is the goal with this system. When someone sees that a FGN member has Legend Status it signifies a user who is a dedicated member to the community.

The Active time is based on your time spent on the server, but this will exclude idle time, so don't come thinking you can rig the system by leaving your PC connected permantely!

Also if you try and cheat the system using a music bot, we will simply exlcude your IP and ID from earning ANY ranks!
