Hi Flick. Today, I've been thinking about things, and I've decided to take a complete step back from the stream. Honestly, my enthusiasm for playing alongside you guys has dwindled recently. This is not a criticism of you or the other guys at all; for me, the group has just gotten a bit too large for my liking, and the games, whilst I still enjoy them, are not really up my alley any more. Playing with you guys has begun feeling like a chore and it should never feel like that.
Moreover, given your decision to remove my moderator status, I feel that I no longer need to be there every night. Again, this is not a criticism of your decision – I think you were absolutely right to do so. The last week or two, I’ve been very flaky with you. I have had reason to be so; but still, I can’t see myself becoming any less busy in the weeks coming up to the start of university, so the flakiness would, no doubt, continue, and get even worse. Furthermore, I have often seen my concept of how offenders in chat be at loggerheads with yours: warning or banning people when you think they’ve done no harm, or not doing so when you expect me to. Obviously, that’s not how a streamer and their moderator ought to be. You were definitely right to un-moderate me.
This is not a complete goodbye. I will still pop into the stream when I can, though just as a viewer, and not for as long and with less regularity. I hope we can remain friends. I’ve made great friends in my time with the stream, from you and Chris to Tev, Coxey, TJ and all the rest, and we’ve had some amazing times. I’d rather I ended my involvement like this rather than just petering away and eventually just disappearing.
A while back, we talked about how you just needed one or two more great personalities to fill out what happens in the stream. At this point, I’d say you’ve more than got that. You certainly don’t need me any more. You’re pushing towards 3000 subscribers and I expect things will only go on up from here. I wish you all the best, with your stream and everything else.
