A New Chapter opens as Filodilo ends

Ok so I have been a secret squirrel,

I decided mods were slowing killing the ark servers and also I felt at the same time a new name would be a good thing.

Around a week ago I launched the first server, completely unmodded, but with some interesting tricks, that required nothing downloaded by the people joining.

The server now runs plug ins, which is ran completely server side.
The software is in alpha, but seems stable, so I have now decided to open the doors.

With this, I have created a new group, which is currently also hosting a conan server, (although this game in general is dying its death, until they actually add some content).

My plan is initially to run 2 servers, building up to 4 once I have plenty of people on them.

They are set up as x10 and are pvp servers. Rule wise, there isnt a lot there, apart from the keep it to pvp and not ruining population pvp.

Appreciate some of you may have found new homes, but the offer is there for those of you who want to stay with me and the admin team.

Its currently got around 12-15 regular players in its first few days.

Settings wise, we are happy with the way its configured and wont be making any changes, so please dont suggest them.

So finally after months of trying to promote this server, I have thrown in the towel.
You will notice all servers are no longer showing in the lists, I have decided for now to remove them.
With all the bugs currently with modded servers and the lack of interest in general on unofficial servers, I have decided I dont want to use any more of my time hosting ark servers.

I may bring them back if things ever stablise, but I wont be bringing modded servers again, they are just too unstable, take too long for new players to join which is why I will never be back on modded servers.

I have the save files there if you want a copy of them, to play them single player, as lets face it, you have been more or less single player for the last month or so.
My hope was always to have busy populated servers. I invested time and money to have hardware that could cope with the masses, but it seemed whatever I tried to do to promote was just not enough.
With also changing my job 3 months ago, my free time lessened, so I decided enough was enough.

I am sure you will find another server as stable as mine, but for now, its over and out.

Corrupt save on the SE server

It just gets better and better and I am begining to think it might be time to throw in the towel!

So SE has had a corrupted save file, for the S+. Those who have built in it, will see a good chunk of their base missng.

There is nothing I can do to restore this and unfortunately this is the gamble of playing on modded servers.
I hate using that line, but it really is the fact of the matter.

Rather than wipe it, which i would rather try and avoid, I have increased the rates for one week, so you can rebuild.
Note this is only amended on harvesting and will only stick for one week.

If the server as a result does become unplayable, then you will have to upload your dinos in the cloud so i can wipe it down.

If this becomes a thing, as its not been the first time, I will have no choice but to throw out modded servers. I dont have the time, or resource any more to spend several hours sorting out badly executed packages.

Plus I genuinally believe modded servers drive away players rather than bring them in.

My dogshit isp has not eta for when this will be fixed,

Their joke of a policy is -
Customer phones
They can see a fault in the exchange , (but customer has to phone first)
They then do tests again to see it is down
Then it's an eta of up to 5 working days for an engineer to call me to arrange a booking.

So basically they hope if they wait long enough it might fix itself !

Volcano Extinction Core Server Launched

Hello folks,

I said it would happen if we were happy with our servers new upgrades, which we are, very happy.

Today I have launched a new Volcano server, running extinction core, the annunaki replacement.

Some of you joined us in the Annunaki days, so I know will be very happy to see a tiered PVE replacement for it.

The settings are geared at x2, I know x2 wth !

I have put them at this level for the following reasons, Extinction Core adds items that delete dinos food instantly, providing instant tames, they also fully rebalance everything, from armour to gear.

Level 600 dinos is a thing here too, keeping it at normal settings !

Why the volcano ?

Well just take a look at it, all biomes on the one map, SE dinos and vanilla dinos as well as all the items from the SE expansion pack and you dont need to own SE :D

Building wise, S+, the Extinction Core and the volcano are large downloads, I felt we needed to keep mods to a minimal level.

Other mods, stack mod, you boys and girls need your stacking I know !

steam group name change

Hi guys,

we are thinking of changing our steam group name,
we want your help with this, with ideas.

We basically think, what keeps people playing with us, is reliability, performance and generally solid servers with 100% uptime.

With this in mind, we want a name to reflect this.

With the launch of conan and us moving into other games as well as ark, now seems like a good time, to move away from an arky name, to a name that describes our vision, in a nice easy to remember name.

We have a couple of ideas, but I know you guys have loads.

Post below your ideas peoples.

Conan exiles server

More of a test but over the next couple of days I will be launching a Conan exile server.
This is to run in conjunction with our ark servers.
Any member on here who wishes to play will get a white listing as our way of saying thanks for sticking with us.
I will launch this once it's got through the first week of lags and hotfixes

I have built a huge box, with a large vault in it. The vault will be full of goodies, but you have to get into it first.

its a case of who gets into it, gets the loot.

Please leave the box alone for now, there isnt anything in it anyways. but wrecking it now will screw it for everyone else.

I got paid and thought sod it

So I have purchased two monsters of processors for the server.
For those that are interested, these are 8 core processors with 16 threads. Basically absolute beasts of processors.

Even if the second board is fried, one of these is 3 times more powerful than we have now.

Its probably going to arrive between now and monday, so when it does, I will want to install it :D

Happy days, now we just need more players.

When these are installed, there will be two paths I will take us down, either increasing our slots per server to 100, or launching a 4th server, which will more than likely run one of the new maps that are out there.

It will be a very mod light server, if I go for a 4th.
