Hey everyone! As long as we have this new Steam Community thing going, I figure we might as well try to use it. If anyone is ever planning ahead of time to be online and playing (Watcher, this means you!) you should post it as an event. This way others can see when everone else is going to be online. If you have a chance, give it a try.

He is a tweak that I have done to make it easier to purchase what I want each round quickly. You can go into the autobuy text file and change the default settings. The file is located:

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\"your email address"\condition zero\cstrike

Open the autobuy.txt file. There is a little bit af instructions and how the change it. The system will go through the list and purchase the first thing that you can afford on the list and move down the list until the weapons slot if full or until you are out of cash. Here is what I have set up:

This makes me purchase the m4a1, ammo, defuse kit, armor, HE grenade, and a Desert Eagle if the money is sufficant. Using this custom set-up is nice because it is quick, only buys what you need, and always buys armor (unlike using rebuy). It definatly helps for making the purchases quicker so you can "Storm the front!; Go, Go, Go!"

Hey everyone! Here are a couple of ways to improve your frames per second and improve the quality of your gameplay. These are setting I have changed after looking around online and have really help me out.

First, in the options screen under multiplayer/advanced, set the smoke grenade quality to Worst/Fastest. Looks like crap, but really improve performance! Also in this screen, make sure both Players Shadow and Enable Fog are NOT marked. Under the Video tab, For the renderer, OpenGL is the best choice. Also for the color quality, use Medium/16 Bit. This helps a lot and is hardly noticable. Unmark detail textures here too. Hopefuly this help a bit. You might want to mess around with these for yourselves since everyones computer is different, but this is what my findings have found to improve my performance. Later!

Hey everyone! I have went through this with a couple of you but wanted to post it for anyone else. To improve the bandwidth alocated to communicate with the server you can adjust a simple setting in the console. To bring up the console which in the game, press the ~ buton. Once the console is up, type "rate 20000" and press enter. This increases the bandwidth and should decrese your latency. I was a big reduction in lag and about a 10 FPS increase. So I just updated steam with the new community beta program and thought I would start a group for those of us who play together. I think it might be a good way to see when each other is playing. We shall see!
