A Few days ago, Goro and I, along with a handful of others, got chased off the official server we were playing on. In light of this, we decided to start up our own server again. It is similar to the server you are all used too, however it has some important differences.

We are aiming for a more vanilla style play, rates are double that of Officials for the time being, they may be reduced depending on how expensive or inexpensive tech-tier used to be. And the intention of increased rates is to encourage anyone playing to engage in PVP, as the gains are now much more attractive, with the loss being less tragic.

Server details are as follows:

x2 Gather and XP
x4 Taming

Mods are at a minimum - Charcoal Baker, Meat Spoiler, Corpse Finder and Stackmemore.

We are running The Island Map, and are investigating Tabula Rasa as a way to perhaps enable SE dinos in the future.

Rules are light and few:

No Cave/Resource/Obelisk Blocking
No Harassing New Players
Don't Grief (Case by Case basis)

As usual, Goro and I won't be engaging in PVP unless you raid us first, we are playing legitimately without access to commands for the most part, however we are able to enable them to help deal with griefers, trolls and bugs.

This move will happen on Tue 8/9 at 11am. Both servers will be offline during the upgrade and a notice placed on the old server once it has been moved.

Due to the poularity of the Center Annunaki Server we will be moving it over, progress saved, to a new server with much better hardware.

To add the new server, click View (top left) in the steam browser then click servers. Click Add a server and enter this ip: 160.202.165.21:8097 to your favorites in preparation for the move. Any players that were on our old island annunaki server will already have this favorited, this is the server we will be using and I'm sure you remember the great performance it gave us.

The Advanced Architecture Mod (Castle Mod) will be phased out over the next few weeks due to its vulnerability to Annunaki dinos and explosives, as it is counted as a stone structure. Admins will help in getting players converted to another building option that will serve better with Annunaki. The Reusable grappling hook will also be removed due to its irrelevance with the Mega Jet pack mod and carrying around a few normal ones is perfectly reasonable.

This creates an opportunity to add a few mods in their place. As a general guideline, I look at a few criteria when adding a mod.

1. Is the mod updated and the author still working on it?
2. The Size
3. Are there any known bugs?
4. How will it affect balance.
5. Is it clean and stackable?

Decided to buy another server through streamline-servers.com due to today's issue and ongoing performance issues with the old provider. This server is about double the old subscription price, but boasts much higher server hardware. (including oc'd i7s with 64gb ram and 1.5tb raided ssds) I will be offering a payshare to help donate to the monthly sub to offset the cost and hopefully provide a much smoother and continuous gameplay.

The server removes some mods including Annunaki, dragon gods, glass metal but leaves the other mods in place with lower dino levels and rates for a more vanilla feel on The Island.

The old server is paid through to the 23rd of this month so it will remain up and running until then, for those who do not wish to join the new server.

I have a ticket open with Host Havoc, the server provider as the server is unreachable via the web panel. As soon as I hear from them or the server comes up, I'll update this announcement.
