Cool - I'm going for it. - I just tried to find that ocean location but it's gone. - I haven't been
there in years - maybe the game was patched since then. - I have some old screenshots

I was just joking but since you really want to here are the first clues-
North Island: North Cradle region, south section.

Sure I'll try to locate your mystery swim spot, but can you narrow it down to one island and whether it's under or above ground or near some landmark? - Are you sure it's a common
phenominum and not unique to your system? - I'll locate my disappearing ocean and post the location.

Are you up for the challenge to find the spot? Btw on what coordinates does the ocean glitch happen to you?

Whoa ! - No. Where on the map is that happening to you. - I did find the place whee you're on the water ant it disappears dropping you to the ocean floor. - I walked until the water reappeared and had to swim to the surface, then I started swimming towards land, the water disappeared again and I fell to my death.

Cool so now i ask you: have you found a place on land where your character starts to swim as if it were in water?

Yes ! There are at least 2 places where the cave affect overlaps the external environment.

How've you been V ?

Has any of you noticed that in FC3 there are some places where the game thinks you're in a cave (when that's not the case), switches the flashlight on and the surroundings look weird?

I don't do multiplayer anymore. Last time i did it was in Unreal Tournament '99 CTF Instagib and Return to Castle Wolfenstein mostly as a medic ✙

I'm afraid that I'm ignorant of any of that. Wish I could play MP - I did back in the 1990's,
On-Site MP Doom - I built custom Dm and SP levels - had a blast. There's nothing like DMing with your friends all in the same room. - Online play is still kind of a separated and solitary experience.

Basically , in every day , there are ~ 10 - 20-30 ( sometimes more at weekends ) .

I mean , in this group lool ... Mp is only running good at evening , night.Morning , midday - it's imposibble to find any server with some players ...

I'm sure there must be some somewhere. I'm afraid that I'm on slow satalite connection and can't get anywhere with MP online. there's a nearly 20 second delay between what you'd be playing and I'd be seeing. Keep posting requests to the FC3 forum and you should get a few hits. Folks just stop in here for info and to say hi once in a while. This is like an old train station in the sticks. Train comes through here once every few weeks and doesn't always stop. !8 /

Huh, I would LOVE to see some realistic weapons in this game. Like, since when did the AK and the AR have bolts on the left side? It's so wrong.

I could be mistaken.. - Happens a lot I read so much stuff - but I THINK that modders have
created weapons grx for Far Cry 2.. or mebby it was Wolf.. - or mebby it was Doom.. ...?

I wish someone could release a way for modders to add different textures to guns and whatnot.

Games could be easily made to be configurable by the player if they'd include that in the
original code. Modding / hacking after is far more difficult to accomplish without creating anomalies.

I would like for Far Cry to head for immersion and loneliness along with the crafting brought by FC3&4

I enjoy 2 from start to finish while 3 gets boring after the first half. And the second island really seems rushed and barren compared to the first one. It gave me a Far Cry 1 deja-vu in which trigens appear on the second half and i'm no more interested in proceeding.

That’s true. Far Cry 3 should be seen as a “Ubisoft open-world formula game” in a way that Far Cry 3 just isn’t.

Absolutely agreed - But it's a long lasting explorers playground with some fun toys. - The two games just don't compare well. Both have important features and drawbacks that the other
doesnt. 3 is just fun - 2 is dead serious.

Three is a good game but it has very high contrast which makes it a bit unrealistic and introduced the full-screen immersion-breaking navigation system (map) and some very long, unskippable cutscenes into the series.

With 3 you won't need anything else. You can run at 3 times the speed without tiring, leap huge distances, loft onto ledges and climb ladders and hanging vines, do amazing stunts with the wing-suit.. your over all sense of your own abilities is vastly enhanced making exploration a joy.
Have to mention silent take-downs making stealth much easier, and the views my friend are unmatched - even beyond Far Cry 4 and 5.

Whilst I haven't played Far Cry 3, I do indeed enjoy Far Cry 2 with ReShade and Redux installed.

The back of my brain is calling for a Far Cry 2 Redeux ! 8-D

There's a rumour about Clint Hocking to be working on Far Cry 6 as a creative director. May be the right time where FC2 mechanics come back along with the better technology.
