FireArms Unity a sequel to the popular Half-Life mod FireArms

Hello Everyone,

I understand that over time the FA community has dwindled down and has fallen silent. Eric "Zerk Smith and I hope to bring the sound of Famas gunfire and manual claymores back into your lives once more. Zerk has been working to complete a new version of Firearms on the Unity game engine. It has some amazing new technology for developers, that allows a much faster, modular approach to creating games.

We are doing our best to recreate that FA game feel, with some new ideas to bring Firearms forward and to make it available for you all to play.

FA has a permanent home now, a place where you will be able to return to and see some old familiar faces and hopefully a new generation of FA players as we begin to release the game.

FA Fans, here are some screenshots for you to enjoy! Zerk has added the weapon system, ammo system, menu GUI and several other key functions into FAU. We have also adapted a map conversion tool from Github that allows us to import .BSP file maps from Half-Life into Unity3d. We essentially are able to give the old FA maps an overhaul to make them as visually appealing as possible without losing the feel/scale they had in FA; More news to come.

Update! Player models and HUD

Zerk has been busy over the last week. Today's update features screenshots of our player models in game and the HUD. Please let us know what you think, suggestions etc. The player model is shown from the Unity3D application render window, it will look much better rendered properly in game.
