FAS: CE

One of the games that kept the group going, other than Minecraft in the beginning (which is pretty much a running joke now), was Halo: Custom Edition. The modding community has transformed the game to emulate Halo 2, 3, 4, and Reach- even going as far as to make the game their own. As we hope for The Master Chief Collection to come on PC, this is the best we have.

If you're interested, join the Skype convo to play with hundreds of CE players with us, here's the link: skype:?chat&blob=VGP34GEA9cRjzueiJbt6TenW9fdVHxSNNFuWsnroxZEdr853hPgiFRnpGkIq0iJp1t5MtPqYKdSy. You'll have to paste it within skype and then click it to join. The download link for the game is in the topic.
So the original server hard drive failed...

There were plans to bring the III server back up for a bit during the summer, but then there were clicks from the hard drive upon pressing the power button...

So what does this mean?

The server's hard drive has failed, which doesn't mean things can't be recovered from it, but, it's no longer usable.

Well, always remembering what happened to the classic map, backups were made of both the second folder and III's folder.

The server will be working on an on-demand schedule (if it can be called that) on another piece of hardware, so we're still fine! But the original server is out of business.

R.I.P. original server: 2012-05-16 to 2014-06-16

The server just keeps on coming back... doesn't it?

III

I started up a new server folder, the 3rd one, if anyone's counting, and have been working on it for a few days with some others, it's time to just say "Yo, it's up now."

Yo, it's up now.

It has just about the same plugins as before, with a better seed, FAS, actually, as the seed. The server running times are as well.

Go for it.

List of recommended add-ons and maps when joining anyone's (on FAS) private Garry's Mod server

I've noticed that there are issues with people knowing which add-ons to get when going on to a member's private server, so this list is for the server host and the clients joining: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=165837474

That is what most of the people in this group that host little itty-bitty Hamachi servers have (and should have), this is to make our lives easier in Garry's Mod.

Maybe....maybe not (regarding Halo for PC)

Although we have a lot of evidence regarding its existence, and RTX along with BUNGiE Day are approaching, yet we still have doubt that it'll be announced. The following pastebin link (http://pastebin.com/RShXnhVL) elaborates on what we've (and other people) found that effectively shows that Halo 1-3 are in the Steam Database. We predict for it to arrive on the last day of RTX, which is BUNGiE Day. We'll just have to wait then.

UPDATE: This is the new link for info http://www.reddit.com/r/halo/comments/1hplhn/a_mass_link_bank_regarding_halo_for_pc/

Yay! Steam group!

I believe this is better than the blog, personally, and we can have a chat room now, along with a mini-forum(s), which is really really cool. This is just to replace the blog and all announcements will be made on here. You can head over to the discussions tab to download the xml file to the blog, along with the stuff that was always up for download.
