TL:DR - Not going to be making new events.
Will be around to make sure this group doesn't get spammed or trolled but that's it.

As titled, it's the 10th, Christmas is coming, New Year is almost here and as promised, I'm making this 'farewell' announcement.

As of now, I won't be making any new events.

I just started working.

I feel like this little group has came so far and did it's job to help people find multiplayer matches.
I remember when I started it and over night got 18 members. Then 31. Then 40...And here we are at 200+.

Not bad for my first time creating a group/community

Feel free to continue using the Steam Group and Discord at your will.
I won't be deleting these, what I would consider, a mini-achievement so feel free.

I want to say thanks to the people I've met for being so cool and supportive.
Thanks to everyone involved in making Executive Assault what it is.
And thanks to you, the players, for joining and keeping these games alive.

Thank for staying with me on this little journey.

Just a heads up, I thought I'd take a break scheduling events here between the following dates during the end of this year:

29th Oct - 5th Nov (This whole week)
Reasons: Halloween, family member birthdays

12th Nov - 18th Nov (One week)
Reasons: Christmas preparation, friend's birthdays

10th Dec - TBD
Reasons: Christmas prep, Christmas, New Year, time to get sober and collected again

All together, I just need to not worry about having to do this one thing every week. It's quickly became a chore again.



I don't have a plan for the group. I never really have...
I'm not gonna delete the group or the Discord.
I'm not gonna hand over leadership to anyone either.
The group lives and dies by the number of active players and I can't control that.

The group was intended to make matchmaking/finding players easier in EA1. I know I have reached that goal.
I promised I'd be around for the release of EA2 and keep things rolling.
I have done so.

I know it's not a big feat or anything but I'm quite proud of this group.
I've had a few good laughs playing with the group back on EA1.
I've even met some interesting and wonderful people in doing so.

So. What happens during the TBD?
What happens in 2019?
Chances are, life will get too busy for me to spend time on this group eventually anyway.
Not that I'm currently spending hours of my day here or anything.
But sometimes it's just best to not have to worry about a thing, you know?

I'll still be using Steam and PC gaming and stuff.
But for now, don't expect anything from me here after 2019.

I figured this is how most people communicate on PC and someone was asking about a Discord in the comments for the last event. So here it is!

I'm pretty new to Discord so I'm sorry if there are a few rough edges/problems etc.

Thank you all for staying in this group for so long. I expected everyone to leave after we got less active. Hell, I didn't expect to be PC gaming much longer myself, but I just recently bought myself a gaming PC!

Anyway, 200 Members. Madness.

I had a guild on Injustice 2 PS4 that had about 50 members (whatever the max is) not long ago and I have to say, although being big into console gaming too, I preferred our Steam group.
Much less problems here and much more fun.

"Hello executives, a few bugs were brought to my attention so here are them fixed.
-C4 now kills the CEO
-The power screen bars will no longer move on their own
-Fixed Iron extractor upgrade exploit
-Fixed chat system so that clicking while typing no longer sends the message
-Thorium crystals/Iron chunks issue with being picked up has been fixed
-Executrons can no longer get inside enemy vehicles
-CEO can carry on building items from the security control room once the main office has exploded
-Buggy’s have been slow down
-Base design has been changed so that you should not be able to build a corridor leading into a wall.
-The orbital laser will now blow up shielded units.
-The audio on some explosions has now been fixed so you can no longer hear it from the other side of the map"

So that's neat for any of you that still play. Looks like there won't be any larger updates though. Further into the post Rob writes...
