Hi everyone,

Given it has been over 2 years since I posted an announcement, I thought I would do one for the hell of it.

I'm thinking of trying to schedule more games, to help people to able to play with each other. Make Eventum eventy again!

Let me know what you think, should we try to schedule more stuff for future? If so, what games? Let me know.

In an effort to make stuff happen and follow the JFDI principle, a game has been organised for the following time:

Civ 6 at 6PM GMT, 11th Feb 2017

The Civ game is only open to those in the GMT timezone, sorry. It's to make it possible to consider scheduling a continuation. Depending on how this event goes, we can consider opening it up more in future.

There arn't many slots free, so if you are interested and I havn't spoken to you already please let me know asap.

The time has come. Many dwarves have been saved due to your actions. It is time, time for Eventum to flourish, powered by the spirit of community. Recently people voted on what they wanted to happen within the group, and now the time has come to implement this. I originally planned to do this sooner however I delayed it due to a lot of people going away on holiday or otherwise being busy, but now that has calmed down the time has arrived.

Every day this week there will be new posts, polls or activities for people. At the end of this announcement I shall post the expected (aka don’t murder me if it changes for some reason) schedule for this week. Following weeks after this one there should be plenty more for people to all be doing together, as is being announced and organised this week.

You should come into the steam chat, as that is the best way to get involved with people as there is still a lot of a spur of the moment activities. Even if you’re the only one in chat, or people are playing a game you don’t want to, hang around and soon enough people will come in/change games. From experience, I can tell you from experience it is possible to have fun with friends even if you playing different games just by joking and socialising.

Tell your friends, spread the word and bring everyone together in the spirit of a strong community. Exciting times lies ahead of us all, and it’s up to you to grasp it.

After a while of too little progress, and too many dead dwarves, it is time to get everyone’s opinions on what stuff should be done to bring people together to have fun, and start a period of quick expansion. To do so, I’ve made a poll (you will need a forum account and to be logged in to see it) on what people want me to do, sadly making porn is not one of the choices. Options do however range from scheduled gaming times, to roleplay based activities, to resurrecting attempts to start up a YouTube channel (with a bit of a different philosophy this time, focusing more on group gameplay fun for audience and creator), or feel free to make your own suggestions.

Those options that get the most votes I shall work on creating first, and then move on to options with lower amounts of votes (if there is enough interest at all). More votes also means more time me making stuff for people and less time killing dwarves in dwarf fortress, and if I spend all that time working on events instead of new murder contraptions (aka fortresses) there should be some new stuff coming pretty soon!

So come and give your opinions, while saving the lives of innocent dwarves. Now is the perfect time to start getting involved again due to the new upcoming events (what those are depend on the result of the poll) promising to be exciting, fun, and full of laughter (that tends to happen no matter what we as a community do).

D&D is making a return and is better than ever!
