Sup guyzzzz!

So, Maniacal Hour last night was a little smaller than usual, but still really fun! Shep was engi-ing it up with some pro sentry spots and midknight was getting in touch with his French side as the shpee :3 Thanks for coming out, guys! :D

I want to touch on a couple things here, because there's a lot I have to tell you guys (hence the ever ominous "PLEASE READ"... never liked the feeling that gave off haha)

First of all, I just want to reiterate that the is a zero obligation group. A decent portion of this group's members are in school or working, both of which come first. The last thing I want to do is make you guys feel like you HAVE to come to Maniacal Hour :) I love seeing you guys, but I know that all of us have full plates at times (or ALL the time haha).

Big shout out to our friends at Grove City College, Rowan University (and any colleges I might have missed) for making it through a hard week and finishing up their freshmen year. CONGRADUMACATIONS!!!!!!!!! :3 :D

Also a big shout out to anybody in the work force because, well, it's the workforce haha xD

Secondly, I've been noticing lately that, for some reason, Steam doesn't notify me when you guys comment on announcements, like this one. As a result, I've left a lot of you guys hanging, which I'm sorry for :(
So, from now on, I'm requesting that instead of commenting on an announcement that you guys send me a chat message. They're much easier to access and Steam actually tells me when I get one haha

Thirdly, I posted an article awhiiiiiiiiiiiiiile back entitled Fun Times and Bot Times? that I would like you guys to read. It talks about the possibility of us getting an M3 MvM group together and what that would look like. As a personal fan of Mann versus Machine, I would love to do this, but it's up to you guys :) Shoot me a message if you want this to happen!

Last, but certainly not least, May Maniacal Hour :DDD If there's a day that would or wouldn't work for you, then shoot me a message :3 I'll wait until the month is over to set a temporary day; for now, just be thinking about it :3

April is half over aaaand I haven't posted anything about Maniacal Hour yet...
Hmmm...

Well, sorry about that guys. I know that I said I would be better at getting right to organizing our monthly hour, and I let it slide again.

If you guys are still interested in having Maniacal Hour for April, then I'll hop right on that band-wagon and ride it all the way to Santa Fe, cause...that's... oh dear, I seemed to have lost the punchline of that joke along with the rest of my sense of humor. Eh, I'll find it later.

How does Friday, April 24 @ 8 PM sound?

Also, in my previous announcement entitled Fun times and Bot times? , I proposed the possibility of organizing a team for MvM. For details on what MvM is and my idea regarding it, check out that article cause I ain't writin' THAT again xD

Fun times and Bot times?

Hey guys!

Sooooo Friday night was awesome :3 We had some intense 6 v 6 moments, hilarious conga lines, and some PRO MLG STRATZZZZ (courtesy of terff ;3)! All in all, it was great :3 Thanks again to everybody who came out! :D

I kinda want to emphasize that this group is FOR YOU! Not to sound like a socialist, but the people really do have all the power here. Where was I going with this? Oh right:

If you guys have ideas or want to see us do something different, let me know!!!! :D

Along the same line of reasoning, I would like to propose an idea that might or might not work. How would you guys like to play a little MVM for our next maniacal hour?

*If you know how MVM works, you can skip this next part :3*

For those of you who don't know, "MVM" stands for Mann versus Machine, which is a TF2 game mode. In MVM, a team of no more than 6 players joins forces to fight waves of robots. The robots are trying to carry a bomb to the bomb site which you are defending. KILL ALL ROBOTS. Destroyed robots drop money (credits) which, when collected, are added to a team "pot" and can be used to purchase upgrades for your character (such as increased movement speed, increased firing speed, etc.) The upgrades will help you in later waves, because the waves do get harder as the game progresses.

That's kinda the bare bones of MVM right there haha But there is much more information regarding strategies, what weapons to use and what not use, what classes you "should" be (MVM meta), etc., etc., etc. If you want more information, you can shoot me a message (or another person who's played MVM before xD) or you can check out this article about MVM on the TF2 wiki:

It's really not as hard as I make it sound (I do a good job of making things sound hard haha xD). We'll work together and the primary objective is...have fun with it :)

*Okay, end MVM monologue xD*

The only downside to playing MVM as a group function is that you can only have 6 players per team, which presents a big problem considering that we have a decent sized group... We could make this a separate thing from Maniacal Hour, where you would "sign up" (send me a message) for it, but it's really up to you guys.

Maniacal Hour Review

Saturday's Maniacal Hour was a blast! We hopped on a couple servers, did some head-to-head "matches", and then topped it all off with a little late night MVM :3 We also met some new people who were really nice and fun to hang out with! Thanks to everybody who came out! :D

I was informed that there were some people who wanted to come, but couldn't ( which is totally fine, btw ;) ) So, I thought it might be a good idea to hold another Maniacal Hour before March ends. Please let me know a date and time that would work best for you guys, but in the interest of getting things moving the tentative date for the next March Maniacal Hour is

Friday, March 27th @ 8 PM

Give me some feedback in the comments below :3
