Keep in mind that there are basically endless games out there(many more than you can properly play in a lifetime), so ignoring the 1% or less that are DEI/ESG infected shouldn't be a problem.

If you didn't know, you can go to a company's curator page, click the gear icon on the right and 'ignore this creator'. Then, if a game happened to leave the company(usually because they are self-publishing and don't want anything to do with the parent company anymore), the game will automatically show up again. It's a great system.

Almost all old games are not included though. Besides, you as the player have the choice to ignore certain titles one by one or a company as a whole(which is what I have personally done, as I'm not supporting DEI/ESG etc.).

Not that many games are possible to get phisical for years, most of them have only digital versions. Ditching old games of companies that went ESG would limit games and studios by like a 70-80% of total. For example Sony, there is hundreds game published by them in last 25 years. This is pure copium.

I understand what you mean, but why would you willingly give ESG companies your money? You can get them through other means if you really want them, like buying used copies outside of Steam, to name one example.

Take the example of Arkane studio, Arx, Dark Messiah and first Dishonored where good till they changed most of the team.

What Ubisoft? Final Fantasy is from Square xD I overall agree with the principles of not supporting cerain devs/studios/publishers, belive me, I hate pushed politics and censorship in games and media more than most people because I know what their intentions are. But marking every single game that was published 20-30 years ago and didn't had any ESG is just missing a point.

Arch, Ubisoft used to be Ok as well and nobody wants to support them anymore, think of this from the perspective of what the company currently believes in, it's not that the older games are bad, it's that the company who owns these older games we don't want to support.

i personally hope Ubisoft is sold off completely, i won't purchase anything else from them until they are sold off away from their influence for good.

that company needs to seriously learn the consequences of FAFO!

What's the point of marking all possible Square games? Even the old ones like final fantasy 1,2,3? This will just confuse people. I don't defend them but they used to be ok.

Ancap, we know, in fact a lot of that's being uncovered right now within the federal government, it's government propaganda, however there are some companies who do believe in the dei nonsense such as Ubisoft, and they're willing to die on this hill by any means necessary, and I congratulate them on that effort, and I really hope for them to be bought out by some more competent companies who don't do this nonsense.

Check his information to make sure he's correct.

There is an error in this list. The game '83 is listed as being owned by Anitmatter Games. This has changed and a new studio Blue Dot Games. They do not have any ESG/DEI mandates.

Do you even understand that DEI is the result of government intervention into the free market? Because your definition of it makes it sound like it's something companies "just do".

@GamingWithADD I subbed today to this group, and yet I can't believe this kind of bs is actually present in modern games

I think it's safe to put EA (Electronic Arts) on this list as the new dragon age will actually have surgery scars where the breasts were removed for trans people and the dev has gone on record saying every romance option is a pan-sexual.

game creators are trying to get cleaver with their branding, it went from ESG to DEI to BRIDGE and now they are using EDI, it all means the same thing, it's just a rebranding, it's like communism, once they are caught, they tend to change the name a little bit but keep the messages coming.

it's probably safe to say if they base their agenda on race, sex, or ideology, you can pretty much tell where it's headed with or without a new name, as these are the universal standards of what these names have in common, and they are absolutely for discrimination despite what they say.

Came over here to write the same thing. I could find the group and curator through Brave, but not Steam. Even worse, the curator doesn't show up in the "Curators you follow" section on Steam.
27 Jun, 2024 @ 1:06pm
i found this by doing a simply search using brave search, but the poster below me is right, you can't easily find this using steam search, i think that might be by design, don't know if that was done via steam or the author of this group.

so it will negatively effect people joining in the future.

for some reason it is pretty hard to find this group, steam group searcher cant find it even if i copy paste the name

Evil cannot create anything new, they can only corrupt and ruin what good forces have invented or made.
