Dem Doors: Adoorable Doorks

On the eve of January 24, 2010, one brave Anon posted, in the midst of Demon's Souls threads, countless leaked game threads, and the constant barrage of NO GAEMS, an idea.

"Imagine punching somebody so hard that they turned into a door. Then you found out that's where ALL doors come from, and you got initiated into a murder club that makes doors. The stronger you punch, the better the door. So there are like super strong murderers who punch people into Venetian doors and ♥♥♥♥"

For one glorious moment, all of /v/ turned their heads, archived the thread, and recognized this post as the best in years (or at least for the month of January.)

Suddenly, this wacky concept became a serious endeavor. In the spirit of other Anon like adventures (Katawa Shoujo for example), /v/ knew that this game had to be made.

Well, not "working" working, more "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around in Photoshop and writing story/character ideas down" working. If you think of anything, PM me or an officer and have us make an announcement for you, or just comment on one already made. If any of you know anything about getting a real forum set up, let me know. It'll be good to have a more permanant way to to store files and ideas.

First off, if you haven't already, go to the announcement below, read it, and post a comment on it. Even if you don't really have anything you can contribute atm, just check in and say something like "free slot." If need be, we can assign you to whatever creative positions we need filled. It's just good to know who will be staying with us too.

On this announcement, post a comment regarding general gameplay ideas. And I mean really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ general. 2D, 3D, dial-a-combo, should it be a side scrolling fightan game, should main char have ANY ranged attacks, stuff like that. We can work on story and concept art after we know if it's going to be 3D or 2D.

Don't forget to use the chat once in a while, just discuss some ideas there. Even if nobody's on, open the window once in a while and just leave it open until someone comes in. We can get a lot of ideas on our own through announcements, but we'll never come to an agreement on anything that way.

My computer is completely dead, so until an app for Steam gets released or I can get enough for a new one,no chatting. I would like to get a forum with built-in chat up though, if anyone here can get us an official forum up for cheap, let me know.
