The Devil Is a Part-Timer! is an anime about how The Demon Lord, along with one of his generals, Alciel, leave Ente Isla through a portal that is connected to modern Tokyo, Japan. He leaves Ente Isla after being confronted by the Hero Emilia Justina and her friends. The modern world on Earth has a lack of magic so the Demon Lord and Alciel change into human forms. To survive in their new human bodies the Demon Lord, who now goes by Sadao Maō, takes a part-time job at a fast food restaurant called MgRonald (Sounds Familiar Huh). Alciel serves as the houseman, doing all of the chores. Eventually Sadao meets a girl known as Emi Yusa who he learns is the Hero Emilia.
