Valve are currently beta testing a selection of additions and changes to Steam's Community pages. Not only have they separated out general community activity from your own contributions, and created a Community Home as an all-game version of the Game Hubs, but you can also upload artwork for any Valve game. It's not all charmingly crude MS Paint scribbles, though, as Valve's artists have created an installation for this digital gallery, featuring concept, prototypes and posters for everything from Portal to Dota 2.

Artwork can only be uploaded for Valve games right now, with the rest of Steam's extensive library set to follow in the future. To use the new features, you'll need to opt-in to the latest Steam Beta Update from Steam's settings menu. You can also view them in-browser by joining the New Steam Community Beta group.

Steam has also updated Workshop entries to provide more detailed stats to creators, as well as new tabs for each Workshop item, letting Subscribers create discussions and view a full update history. More details of that update here.

CH1CKEN'S COOP MODDING GROUP
- First, I'd like to dispell a Myth. Because this is called Ch1cken's coop mod doesn't mean that it HAS to change the way Alien Swarm is played. Through text based configuration files the Ch1ckens SERVER.DLL can be made to act like the original Alien Swarm game while adding Bug Fixes and some cool perks. It's all about how far or not so far you want to go with it.

- This is simply an improved version of Valve's Server.dll, far superior in many ways. It just allows for more commands at a persons finger tips. It tackles the issues such as Latency and networking improvements, many inherent bugs in the orginal game have been fixed and improve gameplay greatly.

- Ch1cken's COOP has potential to be more than it has ever been if YOU have the time to edit a few key .txt/.cfg documents.

- This group has become a HUB for the creation and support of MODDED servers based on the Ch1cken's COOP SERVER.DLL.

- There are many more options available to this MOD than you could possibly imagine in one sitting by simply accessing TEXT based .CFG files.

- I QuickNasty and a few other players here, can help answer any questions regarding editing this MOD and making it something unique and fun to play.

- I'm offering my current knowledge to anyone seriously interested in Modding and editing cfg. files. I'll be available to help and walk anyone through the process for a limited time. I'm also willing to share configs that friends and I have created along the way.

- If you can dream it, it can most likely be brought about within reason. So please MOD away and don't hesitate to ask for HELP.

- There have already been many variations to this MOD made by individuals such as yourself, and many differant, previously contrived CONFIG files, can be made available to YOU if you ask.

- Let's start a chat and find ways to make a whole new experience.

- So please, let's bring some newness back into the world of Alien Swarm. It starts with YOU!
