@Bougiest As far as i remember you can invite, but they can hop in through friends list-> join game. About them joining while you are off, it depends, but almost always it's no, because if you create world and then log off the world (server) is destroyed, only to be rebuilt when you boot the game again. But if you would create a dedicated server on your pc, then it would be possible (if the dedicated s would be connected to your steam account)

Just a reminder everyone - this group works best if people who are actually logged on in-game get in the chat channel. Unfortunately, Steam hasn't worked out an IM system except if you're already friends. This group was designed to be a learning resource or consulting group for people playing the game, and the best way is to use the group chat window. This prevents us having to individually friend every member in addition to being in the group.

Thank you, everyone who reads. Keep building for the stars, and it's you ladies, gents, and attack helicopters that keep the game and community thriving.

Just curious what version most people are using? I stick with the development branch, because, well, it's always been development branch as far as I'm concerned. But I usually join people's public games, and I've noticed there seems like a ton more people on the "stable" branch.

So, as long as I'm in-game I'm going to attempt to be present in the chat room. I hope to see others around, if for no other reason than to be sounding boards to others, which is... you know... kinda the point of this group.

Off we go!

@I Tried Honesty - I think you still have to manually invite people. If you figure out how to allow them to just connect please let us know.
OneInTheMosh 3 Jul, 2016 @ 1:00am
Quick question - if your world availability is set to Friends, do you still need to manually invite them from your friends list for them to be able to join? Or are they able to drop in on their own? Also, could they join without you there?

Hello all. I'm not great at building, not bad either, but I'm relatively good at technical stuff. Maybe I can help, maybe someone can help me with advanced tech stuff. We can all benefit.
