Servers are currently offline due to a power issue at the datacenter we are hosting out of, as soon as power is restored servers will be online.

You know what I miss. Good old games of CSS. No mods just some light rules and taticl killings. Might have to fix that one day.

I'm gonna add my voice to Dfaran's here and say that you really should give TF2 another chance. I really miss the server and would love to see it back again.
I realize the new stuff is a bit much to take in; I've come back to it after long hiatuses a few times now and every time things initially feel totally wonked out. They're really not that different, though; there's just a bit more variety to what you can play, and you have annoying crap pop up every once in a while. The new stuff is really just a way to keep the replay value up. It keeps things more dynamic than if we were still playing the same vanilla version that's been out for years.
I do understand your PoV. I've been there a few times (this last being the most initially disturbing), but after a bit I got used to, and even started to enjoy, the newness. I just think it's a shame to have to play on servers less awesome than yours =/
