Turns out the forum got hacked and they got access to a database containing info and encrypted passwords.

Official word from Gabe Newell is that although this has happened, they are not sure how much of the secure database they got, and are pretty sure they haven't been able to crack the encoding, BUT if your forum password is the same as your account password it's probably a good idea to change it!

Some great news in, we've been working hard behind the scene at cssc eSports to bring you that fun tournament experience and have secured a couple of big name sponsors for this regional and the finals in 2011.

should have put this up sooner, but don't think everyone has joined yet!

I'm running the 1st event at the Dot Cafe in Canterbury (near the West train station) for 3 hours on the 4th of December(a Saturday, which should help avoid the need for special leave!).

For this 1st even i'm hoping quite a few of the more south-easterly members can make it so we can discuss what we want to happen in the region over the course of next year, I was thinking of having at least 4 longer (maybe full-day) events, with competitions in-between? open to discussion! get onto the forum or facebook to discuss further :~)
