Suggestions for Counter Strike : Source by the community

Although I think the recent update to CS : S will ultimately be successful down the line, a few things have occurred to me whilst playing recently.

These are a lack of new maps that come with the game. I realise that the players now have been playing the same maps over and over again for many years. Some might even say that they have been playing popular maps like de_dust since the original GoldSource engine version of Counter Strike. Though these maps are popular and are/have been enjoyable to play I feel it is important to inject more variety in the game we play on a daily basis.

I have heard of Valve holding competitions over map making in the past. Isn't it time for them to hold some sort of map making competition for CS : S? I would love to see some new maps become standardised.

In my opinion I feel that Steam was built on the backbone of the original CS games success. A smart move at the time (1.6), but then Valve are a smart company. With this in mind I feel that CS : S is deserving of a few more maps.
