Initially they circled back and apologised and promised to revert this, but that announcement in their steam group has been deleted since then. Please keep in mind that with those permissions they can do way more than spying on you, that could just be the start. Steam Inventory Helper has been sold 1 year ago by their creators to a cs:go gambling site whom no longer seems to have your best interest at heart.
