Hi I'm looking to play civ 4 multiplayer again, have sent a request to 2K for steam version, where is the best place to look for a game? I joined a group on evolve but there are hardly any recent comments, steam says there are 23 playing currently so at least there are still a few players, though I'm guessing that's not really enough to just search for a game and hope there are others on at that time. Hope to be in a game soon :)

Imagine a Game: Matrix-Sims-Civ... the more complex IT will grow, the more complex structures developer can implement. Some day we have a Cool Game with properties of Civ SinCity and a collaborative element to simulate, play and study the Ghost in the Shell, it comes to conscious... U DARE TURN IT OFF?... and maybe developer then focus more on a collaborative game where u not forced to kill enemy bits, rather assemble friendly bytes and build something what never was there before, a game so addictive complex and complicated that with millions of millions participants u really could make a HUGE CIVILIZATION ( 7 ) ;)

Gamespy is no longer working with the original cd. I think we should use the group chat ('Enter chat room' button on the right) as our new "lobby" for some direct ip games. Or use steam... Your choice.

game spy still works, but not if you change to the steam version

right t-max. i sent photo with original cd and email and got steam-key. it works. but no lobby chat and no buddy-list in steam...:(
and no games on gayspy-server and no on steam...;(

2K finally answered. They ask me to provide them with a photo of the disc attached with a paper where my e-mail address is written.

I would play civ4 still, however, 2K has not answered to my request to get a steam update for my disc version of the game.

Can you play a mod'ed game on the internet through this new steamworks? I want to play Rhye's and Fall of Civilization Multiplayer but could never get it to work with my brother. Anyone know how to do this?

Why do my friend get a question to start GameSpy account when he tries to start the internet game on mac? Would be awesome if we could start to get into the internet gaming of this great game!

I dont find it more laggy then usual, and i have to say way less connection problems then with gamespy.

Good work on setting this up cs. Played my first game through the new "lobby" it seemed a bit laggy, anyone else get that?

GBF died in the game when Lex&Terry's archer surprised him. He only saw it coming for 7 turns.

i spammed the lobbys with the info via c4f, maybe it helps

need to figure out a way to spread the word to non-steam people. 2K will probably give them the steam version.
