Borreload Savage Dragon should never have been banned, and the idea that it deserved it is honestly ridiculous. The card isn’t some busted, game-breaking monster—it’s a fair, reactive negate that plenty of decks rely on just to keep up. One omni-negate in 2024 is nowhere near oppressive, and anyone acting like it “shuts down the game” is exaggerating. It takes real setup too: a Level 8 Synchro plus a Link Monster in the graveyard. That’s not free advantage, that’s proper combo investment. Banning it does nothing but punish mid-tier decks, while the top meta strategies barely notice because they’ve already got stronger in-engine bosses. Savage Dragon has never locked players out, never created degenerate loops, never dominated formats. It simply offered solid, answerable defense. Removing it feels less like balance and more like an overreaction. The card was healthy, manageable, and totally fine—so calling it “ban-worthy” is just absurd.
