The server has been updated to 1.2.4. However, it is still using the vanilla server.

The server has been updated to version 1.2.3. It is not using CraftBukkit, as it has some problems on the server (I get stuck when connecting to it). You should be able to connect with Minecraft 1.2.3 clients.

You can now go back to Mass Effect 3 (and don't tell me how it ends, I won't be able to play it until this summer)

The server has been updated to the latest CraftBukkit version. You should now be able to connect with Minecraft 1.1 clients.

IRC Server

Some of you may already know about IRC. For those who don't, it's a chat protocol : you connect to a server, join a channel and say stuff. What's different from Steam is that you can easily put a bot there that allows you to see and talk to people in a Minecraft server, or have less useful functions like counting the number of words you've said since you're there.

The server is available at 88.190.216.3 6667 (6697 for a secure connection), channel is #minecraft.

Last year before the end of the world by the way, gives you less than 12 months to finish your Minecraft projects, so hurry up!

Map Generation

I just generated a square of map on Minecraft. Please avoid going beyond that square (also avoid going near the limit), as it would generate more map and make it bigger. I estimated the inside of the square at 1.6 GB, that's 0.4 GB left for the nether and end world. If the map grows bigger than 2 GB, it will have unforseen consequences!

Feel free to explore everything inside that square, it's still big. (Note that the map fit in a 1024x768 fullscreen resolution).

To access the server, talk to the one of the admins to be whitelisted, otherwise you'll be unable to join the server.
