You can also post an imgur screenshot, in one of the posts or here in the general discussion if you want. If the Aztec Main is at the top, it should work fine, and the crash usually goes away, either in the windowed mod, or a in a different resolution.

There is a known language and a screen resolution bug. If the game is not in English you could try changing the language of the game, or changing the screen resolution. verifying the game files also helped other people in the past. Questions are you playing it on a laptop? What is the screen resolution and is the DPI scaling enabled or disabled? Also what do you mean by game limiting you to the first god? Is the priority correct? with Aztec Main at the top, and everything else coming after it?

hey I tried to use the mod I subscribed to all things aztec but when I tried to play it not only did it limit me to the first god but it crashed when i went to play it so did I screw somthing up

In your mod, you used a Villager gender mechanic. The two different Villagers have their differences and it is easy to make a lot of Villagers by harvesting Wood as normal. Early game, players will likely not spend Food at all and they will likely get a much faster start than with other cultures by just focusing one gathering Wood.

The Aztec Mod is now updated. This was a huge update, and I had been working on it since June. also added JeHathor's Aztec ost. You can also subscribe to that.

The Following changes were made:
You can now train Male villagers as well. Manors are now a dropsite for resources. Warchief can also build a firepit. Warchief's can boost morale in battle. Xolotl also gets a new myth unit:Cloud Serpent. The UI for the Aztec Tech Tree is also finally here. Various new animals are added to the new maps: "Guanaco, Bears (Grizzly, Black, Arctic), Black Panther, Jaguar, Cougar, Turkey, and Moose. Cihuateteo, now has a new look, and she has the Mummy special attack. Quetzalcoatl, and Huitzilopotchli have new unique techs. There is new Royal Academy buildings that available at Heroic age. It trains all available military units faster. Sadly, the Aztec AI, still not here yet. In the future there will be more updates.

For something more ambitious in regards to recreating AOE2 Montezuma Scenarios, I am thinking of combining Scenarios "La Noche Triste" and "Broken Spears" into one Scenario. The beginning of La Noche Triste continues as normal up to when you destroy the enemy Wonder, but after doing so, you get control of buildings and people of Tenochtitlan and a trigger causes a construction site for your Wonder over the ruins of the destroyed enemy Wonder. From here, enemies will spawn at different parts of the map outside the city and begin quickly building up their bases. Your objectives become keep the Wonder standing until the countdown expires or destroy all enemy Town Centers to win the game.

In Age of Mythology (Reign of Blood), you cannot build Temples and Relics you put in each Temple will grant a different resource (Food, Wood, Gold and Favor).

I am thinking that alongside a new story, we could recreate AOE2 Montezuma Campaign Scenarios starting with Reign of Blood in Age of Mythology with the Aztec mod. Of course with some changes to the original Scenario's text to fit with with different units such as Aztec Priest.

Try changing the game resolution, and verify the game files. Make sure that the main mod is at the top priority.

Hi, Sure that would be great. Neilug was also kind enough to offer advise on balance. There is some discussion in the balance chat already. I am kind of aware about the OP god powers, and the OP warchief. When I was first designing it, I wasn't expecting the multiplayer scene, due to the filesize. I am surprised to see some of the online videos.

It's just updated. The temple and the fortress are now facing the correct direction Bats have sound, forest related god powers are replaced. Manors no longer loop the arrow sound effect. Age upgrades are fixed, fountain has a price now. And some of the other minor text issues are fixed.

If you look at here, you will see an arborescence, and those individual xml will be injected into the techtree/proto game file you want to.

So you have individual files for every units/techs/etc you're working on, either the one updated or the one added, and it will be easily injected to the original files.

Also if in the future there is an update, it won't break your mod, since it adds/update through code cleaverly.

I think splitting files, without a specific editor (I'm not aware if one exists with AoM) provides better maintenance of your mod.

Btw, again, this is an insane amount of work, and I'm still amazed with it. I will gladely help you as much as I can :).

For example, I'm fine and prefer the way you provide favor. With just a bunch of fixes I think your mod is close to being perfect and playable. Keep it up man ! :D
