Hello Everyone!

Many are aware of this already (especially those active in Discord), however there are players coming to me asking where the server went over the last few days still.

We very recently changed the server to a new high performance machine as one of the steps taken to eliminate the lag felt about a week ago. This was successful and we are lag free once again!

This change means that the server IP is now different, and you perhaps may not see the server under your survivor anymore. It is still there, with all the same saved data. Please see the Steam Overview page for IP information. A simple, easy way to make sure you connect properly is this:

• Click on "View" in the steam menu bar. Click "Servers". In the new window, click on the "Favorites" tab. In the bottom right corner of the server window, click "Add a Server". Paste 160.202.166.26:22175 into the box and click "Add this address to favorites".
  
  Launch ARK and the server will show up in the browser under your favorites.

As part of the new map kick off, I'd like to introduce a few server events that will be upcoming.

Want to skydive from the top of the map? Want to have a chance at winning amazing loot while you do it? Jump from the top of the map and, with parachutes, glide into a massively sized compartmentalized maze with varying quality loot. Will you land in the bullseye?

Like basketball, only more concussions.

Play in a custom-built court against a team of other survivors. Show up naked, but spec appropriately as each player will receive a club – and use it!

The goal is to throw and land the dodo in the net. The team with the most amount of points after a 15 minute period wins. Rules are:

• You may only club the player currently holding the dodo.
  
• If you club any player not holding the dodo, it results in a foul. If it knocks out the player, they receive 2 free throws. If they remain conscious, they receive 1 free throw.
  
• If you kill the dodo, it results in a top foul. One player will be chosen from the opposite team to make 3 free throws.

There will be more things to come, whether in between those events and/or after! But I figured I'd get some things penciled in.

Good afternoon ladies and gents of the server!

I feel as though the time for a new season is upon us earlier than it normally would be. Anyone familiar with this server knows that we perform server map wipes every 2 months. This accomplishes giving plenty of time for base buildup and dino collection for the majority of people given that this is a PvE server and you are not getting bombarded by players daily; and for same reason giving a fresh start to those who have accomplished their goals within the game to prevent eventual boredom.

Like I said, this is normally done every 2 months. However, while a very interesting and fun dino mod, Pugnacia Dinos has proved itself to not be as long lasting of a mod. After the initial build up phase, you can very quickly obtain the dinos you want due to the mod's mechanics and drops despite my attempts to make the wild dinos stronger and tamed dinos weaker for an extra challenge.

We usually see a large to medium player base on at most hours of the day for about the first month, then see a steady drop off throughout the second month. However that drop off has already occurred and the player base per day is currently very low. Most regulars of the server who started at that get-go have not been online as they have accomplished what the mod has to offer.Thus it is my decision to perform a wipe at about 3 weeks earlier than normal. The next wipe will be performed on the following day:

This gives people 4 days to wrap up with the Pugnacia season, and to upload any dinos if they so wish. Remember, we always do fresh starts, no downloads are allowed ever on this server.

Good Afternoon Players!

I would like to announce a few different events coming up this weekend. As you already know, the server base building contest will be judged at about 8:15 pm EST. Look at the post under discussions labeled "Base Building Event(s)" for details.

Second is the Doedicurus Derby, held after the end of the base judging on May 20, roughly 9:00-9:30 pm EST start time.

Third is the Trivia Based Scavenger Hunt, held on May 21 at about 8:30 pm EST start time. Rules/Details are as follows:


You may find the excerpt for this event in the post under discussions labeled "Server Event Ideas". Further information is as follows:

• Come to the event with your character being naked.
  
• Your Doedic steed will be provided, including saddle. This is to prevent unfair advantages, and from "too fast" doedics from existing. The saddles are pre-colored, so I will know if you try to change it out!
  
• The track is a custom built straightaway. It will include tricks and traps such as pitfalls (with water, hostile dinos, etc), automated trapdoors, walls/barriers, ramps, overhead hostile dino drops, catwalks, etc.
  
• This is a PvE event, however if you think you can knock someone aside or the like, go for it! The first to make it to the finish wins! In the event no one does, the furthest wins.

The prizes are:

1. Wild level 672, perfect tamed Conflag Doedic of your gender choice (complete with max quality saddle) + 1000 Element
   
2. 800 Element
   
3. 500 Element

-The prizes with exception to the conflag doedic are subject to change if a better/more reasonable or creative prize is thought of. Do not be afraid to voice your opinion, but remember a "within reason" prize :P


On May 21, at around 7:45 pm est or so, I will restart the server to include a password to get on. During this period I will be able to hide my vaults and their trivia wherever without nosy players snooping about! After completion, at about 8:30 pm est roughly, I will restart the server again without the password to allow players back on to start searching.

Being the first to find the vault isn’t the goal, being the first to unlock it is. Varying numbers of vaults are dispersed across the islands accompanied by a sign with a trivia question with a four digit numerical response (pin code used to unlock it). The loot is well worth the hunt...most of the time! There is the chance for crap loot, but it will mostly be nice finds! ;)

I do not want to hear arguing happening. Even if you got there first to the vault, if you are not the first to open it you lose it. It is who "opens" it first, thus you cannot argue if someone gets there after you but can answer correctly first.

Note to me, or here if you open a vault (using its coordinates). That way I know which ones are cleared so I can go pick them up.
